Its hacking into the "POV" of a particular object in order to "see" whar IT sees.
That means if I'm good enough with it & wanted to spy on you, I'd map an object, then gift it to you, later tapping into its POV to see inside your house. It doesn't HAVE to HAVE eyes nor cam tech (perhaps) only had been scanned as a particular shape to find a match & project into.
..but I'm sure they'll find SOMETHING beneficial to do with it.
