  • the goverment is lying.. wer not running out of fossil fuels.. they tell us this to raise the prices and everything.. wer not even close to running out of fossil fuels its all a lie

  • That's an intriguing claim. Could you suggest some sources on the Web or elsewhere that viewers could consult to better understand your point of view about this and the data behind it?

  • it might be running out for you buddy...but

    in my case

    i'll keep my Hummer humming.

  • Do you plan to keep driving a Hummer because you don't believe that climate disruption is happening? If so, why? Or do you just not care? If so, why not?

  • Thats disgusting. Why would you even drive that gas guzzler?

  • Peak fossil fuels says there isn't enough to burn to get to 650-750 ppm.

  • That's interesting. Could you explain your views on peak fossil fuels?

  • See my "peak oil" vid

  • Thank you for the science. Most don't get "fossil" part of fuel just like where does milk come from- the store? Just to add- political action may get something done- more than likely not. I'd propose that individuals acting now will get more done than waiting on our government- and it's not just the Bush Administration--the issue dates back, decades. In your next video presentation- maybe tell folks what they can do and put some science to the numbers.

  • Good suggestions. However, I think that, in addition to individuals doing their part to combat this crisis, it's important to have governments take strong measures because this is the kind of problem that requires major infrastructural changes to solve. Also, the government can help significantly accelerate the impact of the measures we take as individuals, through financial incentives as well as and research and implementation investment.

  • 5:10. Nope. We don't want action because we reject your carbon hysteria and wish your MIT contemporary had been interviewed to get some balance.

  • I'm glad you found the video thought-provoking. It's clear that 1) you disagree vehemently with Prof. Herzog and Dr. Romm and 2) there is someone else at MIT whose opinions are more aligned with your own, but there was nothing in your reply that indicated why you disagree or who the other MIT person is. Could you clarify, for the benefit of advancing everyone's understanding of the issues? Thanks.

  • I assume Prof. Herzog was referring to RICHARD S. LINDZEN, MIT PROFESSOR OF ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE in this one-sided report.

  • Thanks for clarifying that you were referring to Dr. Lindzen. But you still haven't explained why you disagree with the views expressed in the video. It could help advance other viewers' understanding of the issues if you could make the case for your position.

  • Guess what. You guys didn't think to look up, or are hiding, that CO2 is a miniscule one part per 2,000 of air. It does not keep increasing. Grown men should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Actually, this video states that the proportion of CO2 in the atmostphere is currently 380 parts per million which, if you do the math, is the same as saying that it's one part per 2,632, which is even more minuscule than the one part per 2,000 that you cite. You're just using a different fraction to express about the same ratio.
