They are not! There have been opportunities to jump with altair. For instance, when entering a city (you have to climb over the guards) when you get to the top of the gate altair looks up to a handhold. However you can't get to it because you can't jump. So there are opportunities. And also with the Synch point climbing puzzles Altair sometimes looks up but cant reach a handhold so you have to go round. Don't tell me there were absoloutely no straights in AC1 (and both games are brilliant)
I think based on real life terms Altair would be better. However, with what we have been shown in both games Ezio would be better. And i read somewhere that Ezio's story will span 30 years. (you may have seen him with a beard in some videos) So maybe (in real life terms) he would (almsot) catch up to Altair...

It is actually Philip Shahbaz who does the voice of Altair. I overheard that Philip will voice Ezio as well, but that is something I am uncertain of... I'll have to poke my nose around the Internet to find out the truth of that matter. =)

I just found out like a few mins ago that they are making 3 short films with first one being aired on youtube on the 27th of October and the last one on the 19th of November bad thing is they are only coming out on youtube but i hope ubisoft change their mind and make them on DVD 2

anyhow, no, its not because Desmond didnt take breaks using the animus,
Its because while he was in the Animus, he couldve made something in the past, that didnt sync with what really happen
Brilliant example:
"Altair dying in water" we all know that.
and then when he does something like that but the Animus does not register it, it would be a disaster,
Desmonds DNA would mutate while he was in the Animus therefore killing him.
Hope theres an Animus version 99.9

Thats the point, because of the imperfection of the Animus,, desomnd wouldnt know if he did right or wrong. example...
Altair went to ride a horse, but really, he didnt ride when he was alive. but the animus never corrected/informed Desmond that it didnt sync.
and then Ezio killed someone else, not the target, it would change the future, and ofcourse the DNA / memory of Desmond.
Thats why in AC1, they were careful to operate the Animus, and the Animus has so many Glitches. AC2 - New version..

ok basically "assassin's creed 2 lineage" is a three part short movie depicting the life of ezio's father giovanni auditore de firenze up until his death. it will be aired on youtube and it should provide an insight into what happened to ezio's father.

most likely Nolan North, he was the complete actor for Ezio, Altair, and Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series.

Nolan North only does the voice of Desmond Miles in the "Assassin's Creed" series.
It is actually Philip Shahbaz who does the voice of Altair. I overheard that Philip will voice Ezio as well, but that is something I am uncertain of... I'll have to poke my nose around the Internet to find out the truth of that matter. =)

I just found out like a few mins ago that they are making 3 short films with first one being aired on youtube on the 27th of October and the last one on the 19th of November bad thing is they are only coming out on youtube but i hope ubisoft change their mind and make them on DVD 2

There are going to be 3 short movies 15-20 minutes each so all in all, its 45 minutes to an hour, and then that's it. Time to play Assassin's Creed 2...
