Wow he must have like, such good control over the pipes. I play the bagipipes, and I know it is really hard to stop and start so quickly and to change the sound and everything...and to get the doublings right!!!!

It alllll comes with practice. This is nothing I couldn't do ;) I've done it before with my band on stage, killing off some time. Something goes wrong with the PA system, or an amp, or someone breaks a string, and they just stick me out in front and tell me to kill time.

Crazy Train, Hotel California and various other little things like Johnny does and it pleases the crowd sooo much. Keep practicing and you'll be there some day mate :)

yep, practice...its my 3rd time being with the band Johnny was in(Sons of Scotland)and i cant even play the pipes yet...but im practicing

He will have altered his pipes for the stage; for example, by using slightly softer reeds its easier to start and stop them

What a talented piper, we've not seen anyone like this ever. I have no doubt he's one of the finest if he knows how to manipulate the mouth piece bending to make those sound effects. Awesome job.
