COD Black Ops PS3 Freezes during online play

Mine was fine but became very buggy. I don't get it, I can't even get into a match, and it's not my internet either! They make so much money off these games but won't own up! I stopped buying.

i got the same problem right now, ive had mine for a year worked great. it just started to on a black screen everytime i try to start the same up, or if it works after a game finishes it stalls and i have to eject game or it wont let me do anything

It happened to me on Black ops and Battlefield 3 and I have a brand new ps3 ,no more than 2 months old the new series cech 3004 ...I observed that on the exclusive games for ps3 doesn't happen

Mine works fine until I go to multiplayer. It freezes and stops at a black screen. If I am lucky I can get to a loading screen. But it freezes and never loads. This never happened until today.

As of 26th of Sept 2011 my Black Ops freezes after every match at the loading screen, the spinning stops. Will there be another patch to maybe FIX this issue? because I know for a fact I'm not the only one with this issue. *PS3 is new & BLOPS is scratch free*

i had the same thing happen quick question does it only freeze on the older maps? cause if thats the case its the disc try excessive cleaning and check for any scratches. the reason it wont freeze on newer maps as much is because they are dlc and are not contained on the disc itself. Hope this helps

ok same thing but a little different haha when its loading the matchs it will say havana search and destry and then it will get the little loading button in the bottom right corner it will keep loading but it doesnt join. but im on xbox 360

Dude, turn it off manually. Let it rest 5minutes and unplug it. after 5minutes turn it on again. It happened to me like 3 times in one year. MW2 and BO. Twice on MW2 and once on BO. It's a problem in the game and not the playstation it happens sometimes also in call of duty 4.

@MasterGamerZs As I said before. Activision didn't manage to make the best game, mate. My PS3 doesn't freeze when I play AC Brotherhood or Dead Rising 2. It only freezes on The Call of Duty's.

But this is not the best explanation, because normally when a Console such as Xbox or PS3 when overheating they freeze.

I've had my system now since December 2006. It's the old 80g. I have never had any problems with freezing until I play Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed and Warhawk. But let me tell you about Black ops. That shit freezes every freaking day, sometimes twice or three times. My PS3 finally got the yellow light of death and I've been searching around for a fix online, try gilksy and his "how to fix ps3 YLOD" on youtube. Other than that, damn this shit is happening to everyone who plays Black ops.
