  • For some reason, I keep expecting him to morph into a humanoid wolf, dragon, bear, or tiger and try to rescue Zeus's daughter.

  • major toupee factor!

  • Epic walk 2:15 !!!!!!

  • I never understood why thses guys weren't incorporated into the wwe(f) at the time, would have been a great storyline and interesting competition to have the wrestlers in matches with them.

  • The problem with Vince McMahon & the WBF was it was promoted & hyped exactly as a wrestling match was with the bimbos, neon & gaudy entrances.I was expecting some huge wrestler to run out & ambush him here. No wonder it failed.

  • nenzi671, idiot. it's called entertainment. gay purists can go fuck themselves.

  • hey gregjocka1001 you tool, bodybuilding is a competition & an exhibition. Wrestling is entertainment. If you think you know so much, then why did the WBF fail, faggot. I dont need to fuck myself bc I just did your g/f.(she swallows)

  • @nenzi671 The WBF failed, because of all the drama from the steroid scandal in the WWF. There was no way the wrestlers were going to tolerate being drug-tested, without the bodybuilders being subject to the same scrutiny. Plus, the stringent testing started three months before the 2nd (and final) WBF championship. Hence. a lot of the bodybuilders looked terrible. Add to that, Lou Ferrigno bailed once the WBF started testing, and he was hyped to take on Strydom for the title.

  • thats completely it. if you're a bodybuilder or fan, the shows are really exciting, but there just isn't the action there that mcmahon tried to act like there was. Plus, you cn't compete with the IFBB, thats a war you won't win

  • @nenzi671 I get your point but obviously the other approach hasn't worked either. The fact of the matter is the sport had one of the most popular people ever (Arnold) as one of it's top competitors ever and it still really didn't matter. Now maybe if they attempted to beat the hell out of each other some more people might give a shit. Hey, I was a bodybuilding fan but some times you just have to deal with reality.

  • He was 265 SHREDDED in 91' when Haney and Yates were 241 that year. Yes Ferrigno others were large, but in the early 90's Gary DEFINITELY pushed the envelope earlier than a lot of the guys

  • ...

  • That's an INSANE amount of carbs for a competitor to ingest, but if it works for him, all the best!

  • Hehehe, i like the cockyness! He's not the first huge bodybuilder really, but he's been one of the first

  • The very first huge bodybuilder in the world!

    Awesome Shape!

  • the very first huge bodybuilder in the world?

    are u kidding me

  • He was 265 SHREDDED in 91' when Haney and Yates were 241 that year. Yes Ferrigno others were large, but in the early 90's Gary DEFINITELY pushed the envelope earlier than a lot of the guys

  • Did i here that correctly...He got a restaurant in his pad, with nannies, etc etc. Sounds like he was very finacially up there.??

  • Maybe, but I wouldn't doubt it if that were just part of the act. This was Vince McMahon's WBF after all, owned by his corporation along with the WWF, and we all know that wrestling promoters hype up their business acts. McMahon was in direct competition with the IFBB, and so he probably made up these personas for the bodybuilders, in order to distinguish his organization from the IFBB and take over more of the market. Of course, we all know that didn't happen.

  • That's weird. The footage I have of this routine from BodyStars has Vince McMahon commenting by himself. And, McMahon is pretty much going beserk about Strydon's performance.

  • bodybuilding is my life i am a 23 years old bodybuilder i go to the gym 5 days a week and want to be very muscular. this videos are such an inspiration for me so... thanks

  • for me gary is the bodybuilding icon of the 80's the best years of bodybuilding thanks for the video

  • But, this contest was in 1991.

Plus, the footage I got showing this routine (from the episode of WBF BodyStars, that aired one week before the 1992 WBF Championship), the show ends at the same spot as this video (when it hits the 4:25 mark).
