  • I got it confirmed, it's a South African Metro rail running on 3,000V DC

  • thats rather funny....hahahahahahahah

  • Engineer: What's that noise?

    Conductor: I'm making s'mores.

  • If I was there I would have wished to have riding a diesel powered train.... :O

  • no need for train heating when you're sizzling nicely from the electric

  • What happened in the end?

  • hthis is what happens when harry potter duels voldemort

  • If you look closely you can see the live wire has come down and is resting on the roof of the train. Dropping the pans would do nothing in this situation. Expect they got a massive electricity bill though!

  • Only works when you are travelling at 88mph

  • I can't imagine how SHOCKED people on that tram must have been!

  • it appears photonicinduction doesn't like trains :)

  • Drop all your pans you idiot !!!!!

  • I prefer the buzzing of AC. Especially 50-Hz.

  • This is the hell express.

  • what gage "00" :)

  • Am i the only one to notice the the over head power cable has snaped and is resting on the panto and in contact with the aluminium body work, acting like a faraday cage and creating a short-circuit between the overhead power and the running lines beneath.

  • Ahhh, nothing beats the raw power sound of a healthy direct current arc...

  • At some parts it has a squawky hissy sound that is similar to someone doing a "record scratch"! LMAO

  • Dutch trains do that all the time... boring!

  • @74Fratello note to self, never go on dutch trains, untill wearing a fully insulated suit.

  • MetroFail!

  • RUUUUNNNN!!!

  • Why you run? I would have stayed and filmed till they fixed it lol

  • brown trousers time ..

  • Blame the apprentice! lol

  • I've seen this happen on a Class 319 a few years ago. Except the difference being the one I saw was doing about 80 Mph ... It set fire to the roof of the coach behind the pantograph.

  • @AshHill07 Do you recognise this Class ? Is that a UK railway ? As far as i can say it's definitely DC, but i have never seen this kind of train,..there's a plenty of DC powered railways in the uk, am i right ?

  • @filipkof your right on the fact that toy trains run on DC, but no, thats deffo not in the uk, british trains aint as box like as that

  • Auto welding.....

  • You are waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You don't know where it goes, but hopefully you dont get a lightning bolt to the head (anyone catch the inception reference?)

  • ALL ABORD THE FAIL TRAIN XD

  • all aboard!

  • @WeThePeopleee next stop FAIL ville

  • @WeThePeopleee It's rather "All abort" ;)

  • hope no one was aboard

  • 25kv of fun, transformer fire under the pantagraph my dad says.

  • hee dat is in nederland wejooo

  • i am going to be late for work again the express got delayed. there seems to be a small electrical fault.

    sorry boss.

  • @jfd889 small? looks more like an operation failure. but at least you can enjoy the light show.

  • like the 4th of fuckin July!

  • Yea...umm...I'll wait for the next one...*backs away....runs off*

  • Wow...

Im now off to get a train to london....

  • The government is trying to manipulate our brains with so much electricity.

  • There SHOULD be Circuit Breaker, but i can see, there isn't, like in Poland in Winter. If something fucks up, it fucks very good

  • Nice. Scary when you're on the platform in front of the train, though!

  • But wasn't there any fuse system to cut the power in case of short circuit??

  • Delay? Hmmm well, Mostly I work with computers and circuit boards, they are only + or - 5v , The computer circuits don't take kindly to power spikes.. Here, in this video, the system is being shorted out down the line... Now it probably has cutouts , or essentially fuses that trip, so that it will save or prevent other damage to other parts of the circuit. I don't think this would have been a simple delay for an hour or two , I think this is probably a lengthy repair..

  • You can do some serious welding with a million watts!

  • Meanwhile...

    "Is it 1985???"

  • Philadelphia (SEPTA.org) commuter trains run on 12000-volt/25 Hz AC overhead catenary.

  • Did the filmer survive?

  • оператора вроде в конце убило

  • Wow omg

  • It talks. "Ciap, bzzzzz, ciap!"

  • Nice vid!

  • Sounds like DC at some low voltage ... beautiful! :D

  • Where was this? London? What happened? It looks like the catenary wire broke and fell onto the train, but I can't tell for sure.
