Ok, So i have a windows Vista sp1, Just upgraded to a new win vista sp2 and i was wondering if the same drivers from sp1 would be compatable to sp2. Btw thanks for this video :) Used it on my win xp pc to recover my drivers x)

Used Chily Driver Backup. Seemed to back up the drivers just fine. But won't let me restore them without purchasing the product.

Very informative video, cheers for that but I am still lost as to what to do. I have a work PC and the hardrive is too small. I dont want to install an external hdd and would basically like a bigger internal hdd. How would I save all my settings? I like the way my machine runs with the software that I have on there and the settings for my Outlook and Thunderbird emails. Is this possible or would I have to install and setup individual software from scratch? I look forward to your reply, ta.

@LilBSOD Your drivers have got to be compatible for windows 7, but windows 7 finds alot of drivers when you install it.

Hi Brian, great video! I tried to update a Trendnet wireless adpater with DriverPacks through device manager by pointing to the DVD. It found a driver and installed it, but then I got a blue screen that said the driver overran or overloaded, something like that. I rebooted and the blue screen came back so I had to use the Last Known Good to restore my computer. Would you know from your experience if this is common with the DriverPacks or have I done something wrong?

Well are you using software to backup drivers?...if so then install windows then put software back on what you backed up your drivers with and restore drivers.

if so use unlocker to delete them or cmd and to delete dll make sure you unregister the dll first, and you should be ok

You may need to install XP Drivers and Not Vista Drivers? have a look in device manager to see if drivers are ok?

yes this does work on vista, and to install drivers just after reformat just install program and and click on restore and point in to your backup drivers folder and thats it.
