For those complaining about the lack of playing, I noticed that this is just a fragment of a video where he is just going through the guitars he uses. If you look around you'll see that same interview with him talking about his Explorer as well. So it's not a gear ad, it's just a look at his gear.

in order to use this on youtube as it would require each listener to own six separate speakers and they would have to know how to position them,, also not many guitarist will be putting out these type of recording if they are young and on a budget they might just focus on songwriting,, imho i could see the use in a studio as a fast way to fix mistakes with panning and isolating certain frequencies to be adjusted or whatnot.. not a terrible idea anyways..

the 1st (to my knowledge) digital guitar, its made by line 6. they are definately not known for their looks, and the hardware is cheep (frets, tuning machines, the bridge is ok, but would be better with ghost saddles) its a very cool guitar, but i would never recommend giging with it with the hickups and other glitches
