Some people out there leave their internet insecure on purpose... you know, to share. Some day I would like to get an old Linux box off of my LAN that is just for sharing internet with my neighbors. I think it's sad that we as a society are not more open and free.
Yeah, the first thing I do when I find an open network is login to the router and locked it up. (Just the settings, not the access). Because I know the owner can reset the unit if need be, and if you don't then some dumb kid thinking he is "hacking" lol.. will login and actually shut the entire thing down ruining access for everyone else.
Thats why I hate when people associate this stuff with hacking.. its called "login in with defaults".. not even close to anything in the h/p world.
