Doran's Blade

Ruby Crystal

Vampiric Scepter

those items provide more cost-effective benefits, except for the scepter, which is my preference for AD ranged.

But you sir have a lot of patience O.o I wouldn't be able to do better than that on a tutorial xD

@InglishAmerican After choosing a champion and starting a game, you should not leave it. Leaving it will trigger penalties for you. After you finish a game, you start a completely different and new game where everything will be resetted.

@PGMPicS Most things are just passive, always-on stat boosters. For things like potions, wards, and some special items with active abilities, you can click on them in your toolbar or use the 1-6 keys.

@rambo7149 That's a big problem in the LoL-Community. Many people just begin flaming everyone and everything if the match doesn't run well. And, of course, almost everytime the 'fault' is found at playerxy, who had bad luck and died often. If you are new to the game, nevermind the flame. Some people play smurfs and some of them seem to think you have to be a pro from the beginning. :)

@xwarlandsx Best thing to do to fix that is playing bots. It really helps to get a friend playing with you too, so you can communicate via Skype or something similar.

Play bots for your first games, beginner, then when mastered, intermediate, then when you're comfortable with a play style, go online!

But W3 actually has more game modes and is not just a Battle arena game, but a real-time strategy with variatons because of map editing (Dota, fantasy life,wolf vs sheep,predator, island defense...). The game isn't free but it's not expensive and online is free.

Anyway I'm giving lol a chance, it look pretty cool and I'm tired of the same powers/skins in every Dota :3

@skulldoggs Fortify works well on blitzcrank as you can pull someone into your turret and activate the spell for additionnal damage from the turret. For the second spell i can say either heal or exhaust

@youlosez it takes about 300 games before your considered an intermediate. there is no definite answer to your question as i have seen level 20s being FAR more skilled than level 30s and some level 30s are feeders

@dropthekoala sorry but your ip address was blocked because you are not from the US. that LoL version you downloaded is probably the north american version, thats why the play button is greyed out. go to wikipedia, search 'league of legends' and then scroll down to the 'External links' section. click on the official site of your country (Chinese is China) and then re-download the LoL client on the site. I know this is 4 months ago but the game is definitely worth a try and another download

I started playing LoL about a month ago. I never played DotA or HoN, so it was all new to me. Within 1 week i was aware of pretty much everything in the game, items, characters, mechanics. I would say it would take you about a week aswell, so not very long (IMO)

imo doran's shield is more ballanced item even for the new players than the regrowth pendant. Plus when u buy the shield u get used to the idea of buying 2 potions, which is life saver in some situations, especially if used correctly , it can save from ignite.

@serefkana There is no better -- only variation. HoN is a direct clone of DoTA, basically, and has a darker look and a more...intense community. LoL has a lighter look and is far more reliant on team play. You won't find hard carries that dominate a game solo in LoL -- support and tanking plays a much stronger role. LoL has a much larger audience and is growing much faster, thanks to being completely free to play. On the other hand, the HoN audience is more serious and hardcore (and elitist).

Alistar is quite noob friendly but i dont think making a video of him is going to be all that interesting you would probably do better to do one for singed. Sivir would be great but Coldturkey (u should watch some of his video's) did that blitz might be good but he's not really a "noob friendly champ" (no offence noobs) but any ways good video, but more importantly i like the fact that u would spend your time helping beginner and helping the community so thanks to you and other video makers.

@Scylla1777 I'm a huge fan of Coldturkey, and to a certain extent I will try to avoid too much duplication of him and WatchMeSC (another great LoL commentator I follow), though ultimately it's probably gonna be pretty random and mostly based on what I feel interested in at any given moment.

anyways the philostone isnt the greatest item but he clearly says that its for beginners. Also its not all that bad the main reasoning behind it's "crappiness" is that it is a REGEN item, meaning that it does NOT help during a team fight(or any fight) and its solo purpose is for laning.. on the gold/5 the recipe cost is 285G so 285/5*10/60 = 9.5 = 9 1/2 minutes of having the item before its cost is refunded. however it's still a decent item and great for new players...

pretty good video... in this comentary you jump around alot... you should either focus on the champion OR (not both) playing in general... if you want to talk about ashe thats fine but dont go into generality... the In-game tutorial teaches the basics in movement, attacking and skills, and the rest is pretty obvious if were talking in a general matter and don't narrow it down to specifics... Also Kel even if u do play alot and have been in good comentaries with cold turkey (shit out of letters)

I can definitely try to do that! I am planning one more "basic tutorial" video, which is already recorded but needs voice-over work (which I hope to do tomorrow morning), but after that I do want to focus on individual champions.

I have very little experience with either Alistair or Singed (I mostly play Blitz/Sivir), but this would be a great opportunity to learn them. I'll probably start with Alistair, since it would be a good opportunity to talk about Tanks in general.
