They were probably rigged for Shields, and they ARE battlecruisers, so Heavy Missiles will likely hit for full damage (except if they had afterburners). Also, I'm not sure that offlining a module actually removes its penalties.

What I wonder is: How'd this fight have looked if those Harbingers had been Hurricanes, or if they'd have brought HAML Drakes.

Its got nothing to do with luck. Tengu pilot had fuel catalyst subsystem fitted which increases afterburner speed. Tengu pilot burned away from his targets thus forcing his opponents to turn on their MWD's which increased their signature radius thus giving him a great advantage. Great flying imo. Good thinking by Tengu pilot.

@JasonHarry37 ummmmm. all those battlecruisers are buffer shield. And he is using heavy missiles. Shield extenders increase sig radius and heavy missiles already wont have trouble hitting battlecruisers for full dps. He was only running away to keep their dps off. nothign to do with increasing their sig radius....

@youaluza Lol, like i didnt know those BC were shield buffer tanked. And ofc he is using heavy missiles. I was reffering to how the tengu used his range to his advantage. Those ships (especially the lasy Harby) had to turn on MWD to chase him down thus giving the Tengu an advantage as he had Afterburner with fuel catalyst subsystem. Turning on MWD greatly increases sig radius and that is why the final 3 ships (especially the last Harby) went down faster than a hooker on pay day.

Calardi have good base armor resists vs. lasers.... 50% off of em, and 45% off thr, and if it has T2 resists your looking at 86% resists to thermal. So at the very end that helped.
