  • i never knew Waheed Murad's interview is uploaded on youtube, I cant expres how happy i am to see him out of character in his original style. Now i know why nobody could compete him, he was dashing n stylish, had unique voice n also he was intelligent and brilliant. This interview wasafter his major operation for stomach and he was very weak then.

  • oh it breaks my heart to see this interview. It makes my so angry how Pakistan's film industry and his so called co-stars treated him while he was alive. Now they say this great stuff about him because it makes them look good. He did so much for so many of them but they ignored him. He was a great human being and for that I think we should pray for his forgiveness. Imagine how many prayers he would receive from all his Muslim fans. Thanks and may Allah place him in Jennaha amine.

  • @tasnimbelly which country are you from..??

  • @dan90sh I am from Pakistan. I love Pakistan and it's great past. InshaAllaha things will get better.

  • @tasnimbelly hmm god bless you

  • When did Wahid Muraad Die? I heard he died in a road accident near taxila? was it in 83?

  • @ufdtrust Waheed Murad commited suicide by taking poison in his home

  • Looks like Waheed Murad was slightly drunk at this time. He's a legend! Amazing celebrity!

  • Waheed Murad looked far much better than Shahrukh Khan, look wise.

  • @K4MR4N1UK123 ...Waheed Murad ko kisi bhi actor se compare krna Waheed ke saath na insafi hai. Looks wise to aj tak koi bhi film actor aisa nhi aya jo Waheed murad ka muqabla kr ske.........baqi rhi baat SHK ki to he is not even good looking che jaika ke us ko Waheed Murad se compare ki jaye.

  • I am waiting for the last two years for the next part of this rare interview. Please Please if anyone has the next part, share it with us. Please

  • A paan leaf with 'something' in it was found in his mouth. Nobody knows for sure if it was a heart attack or suicide. Waheed was buried near his father's grave in Gulberg Graveyard, Ali Zeb Road, Lahore.

  • Waheed's son Aadil was in Karachi staying with his grand mother. A day before his face surgery, Waheed celebrated his birthday. He bought several gifts for Aadil and wished him a happy year. He returned late to spend the night at Anita Ayub's mother Mumtaz Ayub's house. When Waheed did not wake up until late, the door had to be forced open and Waheed was found lying on the floor, dead for several hours.

  • Pervaiz Malik, who was became an established director and producer by late seventies, wrote in a local newspaper: "Not even once during that time Waheed come to me seeking work in my films."

  • sad but true.... (reference wikipedia)

By late 1970s, Waheed was being casted in supporting roles either with Nadeem or wid Mohammad Ali, or being offered by 'B class' film directors. Most of the leading heroines like Zeba, Shabnam and Nisho were not allowed to play lead roles with Waheed by their husbands. The heart-throbing actor Waheed Murad could not take such an ignominious treatment meted out to him by industry, but kept silent and did not seek help from his friends.

  • @kiranmoon09 you copied this from wikipedia

  • @koolkid759

yes... i have written reference wikipedia in to the bracket .... indicating this information i got is from wikipedia... coz m huge fan of Waheed nd couldn't stop myself for collecting info about him....

  • Waheed Murad was no doubt the greatest actor in south asia. No one could match him. His Panjabi film is one of the greatest in the history. Lahori Munda From New York.

  • @munnabhaiism November 23, 1983

  • @Inaam2 ok, thankx.. i was born just after 2 days, i.e. on 26th.

  • Waheed Murad also made the best Panjabi film. lahori Munda from New York

  • That time how Pakistani films were so incredible and I guess Pakistani movies now are cool and I like the actors but the direction and camera appearence is not good.

  • @Priyah1000 thnx to like Pakistani old movies i hate nows movies but i love old all movies

  • Waheed Murad looks so young. The interviewer Anwar Maqsood is only 3 years older than Murad! Waheed Murad is like 45 here, but he looks like he is only in his early 30s.

  • luv u miss u allah jnat mean alla drjaat thy

  • @TheNaveed36

    its Allah

Its Capital A no small "a"

dont get offended its just for our own correction

  • 'Wahan shahed M.A. kaam ajahe" ... nice ! :D What a charisma...

  • He was a fabulous actor.his way of talking proves dat he belonged to a good family and was a literate man.

  • Amazing Hero and film icon of Pakistan. I love his movies. I don't know the cause of his young death. Its huge loss for Pakistan Film Industry. May his Soul rest in Peace in Haven. Amin.

  • To praise, if someone is Panjabi, Pathan, Balouchi,Sindhi,Kashmiri or some one else is not racist. These ethenic groups are the pillars of Pakistan.

  • Nice upload! it seems last interview of great Waheed murad. As his last film was Hero & he also mentioned his accident face surgery etc.

  • Thank you Inaam. I had never heard Waheed Murad speak. He is very eloquent and very intelligent person the way he expresses himself. Batain kernay ka andaaz, bolchal meiN thairao is baat ki alaamat hay kay wo yaqeenan aik parhay likhay aur shusta insaan thay.

  • great heero,,,,,,proud of pakistan

  • dats just mismerizing too recall that childhood foggy memories.

  • Waheed Murad, my favourite hero while I was a child. And I could observe that many hearts used to beat with Waheed. He was the shinning gem of Pakistan film industry; the only hero with postgratuate status.

Inaam sahib, thanks for sharing this video.

  • Waheed Murad made the best panjabi film. He spoke excellent panjabi, because he was a panjabi!

  • MAYOGARDENS: Your comment sounds racist, I'm sorry to say. Why don't you take him as Pakistani hero?

  • hero #01

  • Agreed!

  • This is what u call a legacy still travelling even around three decades have been passed when he was alive..He is still considered as Master of song piturisation in subcontinent. No other actor ever come close to him and this is submitted by Dilip Kumar himself. He ruled in 60s/70s.His style, body bering, tender voice, eyes, expressions every thing was Godgifted.Indian official acting institute shows his films to the student take admission there. But stil he didnt get pride of performance in Pakistan..

  • He was a surpeme actor. His voice was very enchanting. His acting was unprecedented and inimical. He was great human being. Had he been alive today, Pakistan film industry would not have seen itself on decline. The more we praise him, the less it is.

  • you see this successful actors comments about life, infact he being a famous, a successful man in his life was not satisfied from his work, he says that he will switch to a profession which can render him some time to spent it with his family and children.......ahhhhhh life is an exam no one is satisfied even those he seems to be successful....may his soul rest in peace.

  • can u plz upload the rest of the show. I remember Parveen Shakir came on this show, too. Thank u for that anyway.

  • please inaam bhai, if you have the rest of this interview, please upload it.

  • he was the best!

  • nice introduction . app double action bright ke mehman hai . lol

  • @mkhan888

lol he could have said ab aate hain brite ke next guest... wahid murad

but ab ate hain wahid murad.... ap double action ke mehman hain lolll

anwar maqsood always sucked at hotsing but he is still doing it

  • Waheed Murad will always be remembered as an ICON.

  • all pakistani great actors left so early like munnavar zareef n waheed murad thats the reason pakistan film industry struggling

  • Silver Jubilee aired in the early 80s so this must have been shortly before his death which makes this really heartbreaking to watch

  • I was student in Lahore in 1983 when Waheed Murad was admitted in Rehman Hospital due to a minor road accident. We a group of students visited him in hospital and encouraged alot. I watched his face again in 1984 when he was on death bed.

  • he was and is no 1 hero of all time HERO IN REAL SENSE 03332604292

  • salaam inaam sahab plz upload shabnam & robin ghosh silver jublee programe & nadeem do you have???

  • He was really good...nice to see his interview..& sad that he left so early..

  • waheed murad sexiest south asian ever

  • A very decent actor, Go bless him.

  • whats his age here? he was so handsome in his younger ages!!

  • sitara ji, he died long time ago, i think he died in 1984.

  • waheed murad is the legend

  • His health was at its lowest during this interview weighing at just over 95 pounds, and very weak as he sounds.

  • no doubt, waheed mourad is film industry par hakumat kee hai

  • ye tu manna paray ga,Waheed murad ruled the industry.

  • @jalilmughal -great hero-good voice and has presence and personality. However, his very smart and subtle remarks have gone over the heads of the audience-who dont appear to even move.

  • Waheed belongs to a punjabi family, but his URDU accent was realy very pure and impressive,no doubt.

Sultan RAhi of pujabi films was not "punjabi" he was pure Urdu speaking from Utter pardesh's city saharanpur.

  • dear I am also belongs to pure bunjabi family ( from my birth) but my freinds dont believe me that I am punjabi as my Urdu is so perfert :)

  • same here :-)

  • Dr. Mohd Iqbal, Faiz and Munir Niazi were also Punjabis, so you're in good company. Urdu is the heritage of the sub-continent and is not confined to any one region.

  • When he is talking about M.A. or education he is refering some lower educated were hit than him during his last yrs. Even hit Punjabhi actor Rahi sahib was also acting in Urdu film song "SAthi mujhay mil ghaya" supposed 2 picturised like Waheed type actor!

  • Indeed historical interview .Greatest Romantic ,stylish Actor ever born in Indo-Pak.I can right a book on this legend in short he was ignored in his final years & sadly heavy drinking took his life.He was right i know how many movies SHABAB K. made movies after watching Indian Movies in Kabul ,i have witness who was watching in Kabul with Shabab Marhoom 4 example INSANIYAT was taken by "DIL EK MANDHIR" .Never mind if he is a bit drunk in this intrerview he was heart brken after tuoching SKY !

  • Greatest Romantic ,stylish Actor ever born in Indo-Pak???

Noone in india has heard of him!!!

  • is he drunk?

  • Sadly it seems like it.

  • rare interview

     thanx a lot

  • Historic interview !!!!!

  • Imrank340 your comment here is holy shit.Indians've been copying Western stuff including English for ages, Well you must be aware as you live there.

I've heard many so-called Hindi songs with music taken from English songs and even from video games. Now what would you say that all

Pakistani artists inc Noor Jehan,Mehdi Hasan,Mala,Runa Laila,Mujeeb Alam,Masood Rana,Ghulam Ali,Hinayat Husain Bhatti,Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and many many others've been copying Hindi for over sixty years "NO".

  • Legend my Arse!!! What a screwball he was making copies of Indian movies re-dubbing Indian film songs, mostly sung by Late Mohammed Rafi Sahib. He created copies of Indian films in Pakistani version. Look like an ex-con and thief, his copies can be seen here on youtub web site also. Accidental I hit some of his copy material, which realy are cheap and takki.

  • I have seen this before. Thanks for upload on you tube. This was really a nice show about PTV silver jubilee. Waheed was looking depressed & uncertain about his & Pakistani film future.

  • Bohat achey Inaam, 1983/84 k baad aaj pheli defa dekha hai yeh show obviously us waqat to "kakh" pata nahi tha i was in tesri ya chothee jamat mai tha then lol...yeh batana zaroori tha?
