I want to own a mansion like this with different instruments and pots and pans and big trash cans all over the place for me to have fun with all day every day.
Great guitarists of the 90's; Billy Corgan, Mike Mcready, Kim Thayill, Jerry Cantrell, John Fruciante, Nigel Pulsford,Tom Morello, Kurt Cobain. In no particular order (all based on the influence they had on me and Cobain being my main inspiration for learning how to play guitar).
did they really put that on the song? i always thought it was chad;s part... but now they show me the whole band kicking steel boxes and oil cans or shit... it's hella creative though!
Im reading the book Scar Tissue which is an autobiography of Anthony an he siad that this was the most fun they had for a music video, beating the shit out of all the pipes they collected.
yo i read that book to. it was great. this song was about how he resembled his dad in different ways. for instance him and his dad both had a different woman almost every day
I totally know what you mean, most people will listen to music on the radio just for entertainment because it's something they can tap their foot to. but when you read his book an he talks about some of the songs, you really respect the music for how meaninful it really is.
@4thDimensionFilms Don't believe everything you read though... Especially if it's AK telling the story.
In my view most of the songs released on BSSM are about AK bashing on John. That's my interpretation, at least. No wonder that album has some of the most interesting lyrics he ever wrote.. He actually had some material to write on.

They're playing 'breaking the girl'. This is from the Funky Monks documentary of the band making 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik'. The 'Suck My Kiss' video uses footage from that documentary.
I read Scar Tissue and Anthony refers to it this I think as, 'hitting pieces of metal'. From then on I've always been curious, finding this has made me happy ;D
Love Anthony in this, looks like he's giving a kid some hard discipline..

@senna01 Yeah come to think of it, you're definitely right. Knowing the meaning doesn't necesarrily ensure you'll respect the music more.
Now that I revise that statement: I think you'll have a better, more concrete understanding of a song when you understand its meaning.

Not possible with the current line up. They need John more then John needs them. I'm With You was the most disappointing RHCP album in their history.
