  • I have one too with standard motors and Metal Hydride's. Not sure the specs, I can never get my head around the numbers, but it flies great! I love it. My club flies from a decommissioned runway on an Irish Air Corp base. It looks like so realistic in the air and handles so well. I love just getting it up there an just tootling around. It is great in blustery conditions too. I can fly when alot of other stuff can't! I would recommend to anyone!

  • Your calculations are a bit haywire. Your battery is a 7.2V 8Ah lipo, which means, you have 7.2*8=57.6Wh of power available. Assuming 100% charge transfer efficiency, you couldn't possibly draw 800W for 2/3 of an hour, because you would need about 10X the battery capacity for that to happen.

You're actually drawing about 19.2W per motor, which is a far cry from 400W. You can take down the 40A controllers to about 10A.

  • You are correct Steve, but those numbers are at full power draw and most of the time it is flown at 1/4 throttle or less.

  • Too Cool!Unbelievable specifications. Looks like the pilot really has things under control, both in the shop and in the air.

  • Thank you for your complements.....TK
