  • I like wing chun movies but this one seems way overboard unrealistic. Donnie Yen's Ip Man 1 was awesome. Ip Man 2 started off ok but then it sucked because it ended like every other Once Upon a Time in China Wong Fei Hong Movie. The other Ip Man I didn't even watch because it had weird fighting mechanics. Now Ip Man is Neo in the Chinese matrix against 1000 Japanese Agent Smitakis? WTF! Ok I'll give it a chance but I better see a one inch bullet time punch!

  • @starlegions already criticising the movie based on a 1:21 trailer ?

  • lol @ 0:58, whole army around him to 1:06 = nobody now. wtfs.

  • mr. ip man, welcome back, we missed you

  • because of this movie donnie yen is not going to make anymore ip man movies

  • "Kung-fu" means "Hard work"

  • I understood the first two words: kung fu :)

  • Looks like an asian Matrix, i was waiting for mr smith to come along and hand out some wet willies...

  • @0:36 NO SHADOW KICK!!!!!

  • looks...... elegant..... but not that unique anymore. Kind of absolutely numb about Kung Fu films.

  • Donnie Yens is better

  • @AngryAtTechnology75 how so ? this movie is not even out and you have only caught 1:21 of it.

  • wong kar-wai making a kung fu movie, that's just like having birthday and christmas on the very same day... 8-D

  • Have never seen Tony with play kung fu before...

  • @xeethao I suggest you look up his profile on imdb.com

  • Love chinese films, with chinese subtitles........ that way i cant understand double whats going on.

  • @aleebaabaa hahahaha, thanks for cracking me up! :)

  • @aleebaabaa kung fu. it's just two words. the wrong fall down, and the right stay standing. it's just that simple.

  • Neo know wing chun?! It's crap!

  • guys, this film has a very different market than the one with Donnie Yen, even the ip man movies are the one of the best martial movies out there but since this one is directed by wong kar wai and as you can see in the trailer has more explanation on the philosophy side of wuxia, anyone that likes wong kar wai movie would like this one too, the trailer with the dialog look good, I think will be good as the other wong kar wai movies

  • What's the difference between this and the one by Donnie Yen? Simple. This one uses camera tricks to make it appear the leading actor is a true master, while the other let the actions speak for itself. When people are desperate for money, they will do anything regardless of how stupid it is. Toney Leung is a pretty boy, and I am his fan, but he doesn't belong in this crap. How is this any different than Chow Yun Fat playing Bruce Lee? Tony can be a wuxia-film master, but not this.

  • @dankaren95 You do realise that Tony has trained Wing Chun for some period of time in preparation for this movie right ?

  • @vtml Read my comment again.

  • Hm. We'll see. If I didn't know it was a Wong Kar-wai, it would look like just another generic wire-fu movie in the current style. But I suppose if you cut an "Ashes of Time" trailer with just action shots, it wouldn't look that special either.

  • what film is this and where do you buy it? :)

  • this is me :D

  • Remember I was here.Thai 4:33PM 8/13/2011

  • it's not the matrix isnt it?

  • Damn, I hate fight scenes that happen in the rain. It's so hard to see clearly.

  • @mangoman1523 that's the point.. :)
