  • I love it!!! Poor little Ramzi. I'm just taking my dog through Obedience Training now, and watching Ramzi maintaining a near perfect sit throughout this video, as well as the incredible eye contact she has with you, it's obvious you've established trust with him. He still doesn't like the vacuum, but he's confident that you will protect him from it!!! My dog's only household foe is the rake, oddly enough. Still searching for a video on that. :)

  • That is right. It is called flooding. And it works for extreme dog problems and rehabilitation... these days ramzi is quit cool around vacuums often just laying there with his kitty friends. And now he doesn't try and kill vacuums. They have to move through the fear and learn a NEW way of being... this is behavior modification... Folks contact me for serious dog behavior issues that NO ONE has been able to help with. I am usually the LAST STOP before euthanasia.

  • This called flooding. if you look at the dog's body language, he is still very stressed. Open mouth panting, whale eye, ears back, looking away from vaccuum, rapid breathing even after vaccuum is off, just to mention a few behaviors. Since he is tethered, he has no choice but to put up with it. Make no mistake, he is still afraid. This is learned helplessness. You might want to read a book called "Calming Signals" by Turid Rugaas.

  • Back ground on whistle .. Ramzi was always separate from the whistle ..ie.. whistle came from another room while Ramzi was, say, laying in another room. But, this looks really promising ...

  • That was totally amazing Jason .. WOW ...
