fair play folks but the lad in the ireland top playing the auld lambeg! its a protestant instrument mate... keep it that way.. lol its all about quick wrist movements not swingin the canes like sledge hammers. fair play for playing it like.
Only just found this. I was part of that team of drummers and also blew the Yemenite Shofar (Antelope's horn) as part of this. I was just about to blow it and the video edit here cut me off!!! There's some more very cool drumming as well, which wasn't shown either. We did this piece at Summer Madness that year as well.
enjoyed the poem.. its about time we all started living togather, however tell that guy to play the lambeg right, he's hitting wrong.. needs to hit it across the spin of the goat skin.

Point one. The lambeg drum sounded dreadful. You do not play a lambeg like that. Someone please get yon hobo reading at the end a hair cut.
