Jeff's actually been working on this for a lonnnng time -- there's a video of him presenting this at an earlier TED conference, long before Microsoft Surface or the iPhone came out.
Dickface preteen, go stay in your room while your mom cooks you your spaghettios and watch youtube videos you don't like and then write immature comments about them hoping for a laugh, but that really just make you look like a child. oh wait...
one thing that would be nice to know is if it's possible to work in the black space directly infront of the guy next to him while the both guys are actively using the screen at the same time.
You are right... it is all part of the alien invasion... they spend a couple of million dollars on people photoshoping a couple of thousand frames to trick you into believing there might be some other ideas around on using computers than mice and keyboard... put on your tinfoil hat, otherwise the aliens win!
now i cant see the back, this could be as thick as a massive CRT or a projector. its VERY cool but when this is inbuilt into an OLED screen and is just a piece of glass ill be fainting.
When do I get one in my bedroom? It's like Minority Report without the need for the annoying gloves. I've been wanting something like this for a long while.

OLD. Already played with it in person and met the guy, but I can attest that it works pretty well. Has different capabilities than Microsoft's hardware. This one has a camera that sees white spots when you touch the display. The problem is you'll have to develop all your own software, because nothing currently out there is designed to support multiple cursors (aside from some Wii software), and Perceptive Pixel sure isn't giving out source code for their interface.

"because nothing currently out there is designed to support multiple cursors"
except the iPhone, duh, the only product actually on the market that uses multi touch DDDDUUUUUHHHHH and no don't say Surface because you still can't buy one.
You are the epitome of intelligence because looking at context is above such a genius. Why look at the whole sentence? You have an opportunity to fanatically and feverishly advertise a multi-million dollar corporation, you do not have time to look that he was talking about software. Also, your lack of punctuation and capitalization is reminiscent of early Latin, and I am sure that is the effect you were going for. Jackass.
Wow thats one of the more impressive multitouch screens that ive seen. There Microsoft's Surface, then there was another from Google i think, or it was this guy, but a smaller profile version. That is quite an impressive wall too :p I cant wait for stuff like this to become main stream.
This is right out of a sci-fi movie. I agree with jjrglobal... I want one yesterday.
The only thing that I find bizarre is that this hasn't been covered by more of the tech magazines that I read. I hope to see this all over in the media - its just undeniably cool!
Wow, this would be so amazing for schools :)

Apple DID NOT create this software interface! This has been in works for YEARS!
Just like there are things that blow this out of the water in works today, which we won't see for at least another decade.
