  • Seriously, I envy your shot placement. Awesome shot.

  • After watching your video's I decided to go with the Glock 27 instead of the XD subcompact. Got my 27 gen4 about two weeks ago and I love it so much. I completely understand why you love this great little gun with a good punch. My new favorite Glock for sure. Love all your videos Hickok, don't ever stop making them!

  • WOW, you had those targets ringing like a church bell, very good shooting. I've been looking at buying this gun and after doing some research, I'd say you've got me sold, good job.

  • @TheWrath03 I think we need to start with some requests, Jingle Bells maybe..

  • Hickok45 could kick Chuck Norris' ass and Chuck know's it...............

  • Nice video Hickok, just like all of yours! You have taught me alot. Question: I have a Gen 3 G27 and love it. I have an opportunity to buy a low shot Gen 4 G27 for low $400's. Any advantage? Would it be dumb to have two? Thanks much and keep up the god work (play)!

  • @pumpsinc

    Depends on your personal preference.

I would say it comes down to two things, if you want to be able to change what side your mag release is on, and if you want the grip back-strap to be smaller or bigger.

If you have problems with the Glock "hump" or you are left handed, you may want to look into the gen 4s, if you shoot your gen 3 fine, then I would say keep it.

  • I also purchased a G27 after this video. Mr. Hickok45, have you ever had any experience with the Nib X coating? does it make a difference?

  • i wish you show the left side of the gun as you shoot so i can study your grip so i can apply it since i just order the 27 which will be my first glock

  • @4750548

He has a video on how to grip handguns.

  • How'd the bowling pin make it through that assault unscathed? Thanks for the vid, I'm having a hard time deciding between a gen3 and a gen4 G27. I have two gen3 G23's and lie the idea of the internal parts being interchangeable in case things ever get bad, but I like the RTF grip and the feel of the refaced frame without adding a backstrap- although the gen3 feels fine. Decisions, decisions. Which do you prefer? Why?

  • Sold me on a brand new Glock 27....hope the local shop has one in stock =]

  • nice..

  • Thumbs up if you think Hickok45 should do a Glock 26 gen. 4 video .

  • Same gun in 9mm? no point. thats your choice to carry what you comfortable shooting

  • @Sora2529 what would be the point. only difference is the 26 is 9mm but you can convert the 27 to 9mm for about $100 with a lone wolf conversion barrel..but you can't go from 9mm to 40 if you get the 26...think about it you pay $100 extra and you now have essentially 2 guns in one.....just my $.02

  • Great video. Off to buy one of these this weekend will be a ccw just lile my sp101

  • buying one on a cppl months :). good video and good shootin!

  • i like me some glocks now..for the simple reason they boom when u pull the trigger..i got a new 27 gen4 today..hope it performs like my other glocks..i am sure it will!!!!

  • Stud.

  • hey hickock, i am definitly getting my liscence to carry as soon as i hit 21, i was wondering if the way you had the glock in this video is concedered concealed. you usually have that denim jacket to make it concealed but you didnt today.

  • Hey man quick question. I'm debating on between a 23 Gen 4 or the 27 Gen 4. Which do you think is the overall better pistol? And also how much more accurate is the 23 than the 27?

  • Incredible gun, just wish it wasnt so pricey

  • Hickok 45 - I have one of the first Glock 27s that was made almost 20 years ago. I may upgrade to the Gen 4 or buy a Walther PPS 40. The only thing I do not like about the old 27 is that it is not as accurate as other guns I have. Can you comment on the accuracy of the Gen 4 vs. the initial production? I know the PPS is very accurate and very thin. I like the mag capacity on the 27 but need to upgrade the accuracy to feel confident in my weapon. Your thoughts on improvement in accuracy??

  • Hey Hickok just wanted to say you've got some great videos. I've been researching which glock I'd like to get and I've pretty much just been watching your videos

  • RUGER SR40C is better than GEN 4 Glocks and you know it! Let me count the ways, 1) More economical, 2) Lighter Trigger, 3) Adjustable Sights, 4) Recoils less, 5) Much safer, 6) More accurate,7) Feels better, 8) Lifetime warranty 9) Much slimmer 10) Made in the U.S.A.

  • i love the sound of church bells in the morning! :)

  • I can also see the projectiles hitting Mr gong thats beautiful

  • GET THAT CHICKEN!!!! 11:04

  • Thinking of trading my new G26 for a G27...Hickok I think you just sealed the deal.

  • Pardon my confusion Hickok45, but you say you love these little guns but also say in the video "Yeah, these little guns aren't very accurate are they? You need a long barrel to get accuracy." I'm trying to make an informed decision about buying one of these or the Glock 23. In your opinion, would I be better with the 23 for carry and range time. I probably spend 10% of my time with a firearm carrying and 90% at the range. Thanks for the great videos.

  • @shoxroxice I have a G23 Gen 4 and am now considering getting a G27. The 23 is my daily carry pistol. It is comfortable to carry in a Crossbreed Supertuck. I have not had a single malfunction with it. It is very easy to shoot accurately. The 27 is basically the same gun only smaller which makes it easier to conceal. You really can't go wrong with either one.

  • @Theophilus1978 Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.

  • @shoxroxice He is being a smart-ass, pay attention and watch and listen a little more.

  • @str19691 Ah, I watched it again. Maybe he was being facetious. The first time I watched and listened just fine, but I interpreted his commentary about the shorter barrel having a perceived effect on decreased accuracy.

  • Glock God,Hickok 45

  • Hickok has a good sense of humor.

  • Hickok, I have a G23 Gen 4, but am considering trading it for a 27. Do you see any reason why I should or shouldn't?

  • @therealnokia I traded my G23 for a G27 because the G23 was a little too big for me to carry on a consistent basis. The G27 is PERFECT for EDC but it's not nearly as fun as the G23 for the range. You gotta ask yourself, do you want a range gun or a carry gun? The G23 performs both roles well while the G27 really is only a carry weapon.

  • "Oh it says Glock on the slide thats why."...I agree

  • Will the magazines from my old gen 3 glock fit the gen 4 (same caliber)?

Will the gen 4 mags fit my gen 3 glock?

  • Glock 27 or Kel Tek pf9 anyone?

  • @Anheuser66 yuck ! Glock 27 all the way !

  • @Anheuser66 Glock 27 all the way, its my daily carry

  • "not so thick and not so slippery, i like it alot!" .... looolz

  • Thanks for all that you do, Hickok45! I am probably going to make the Glock 27 gen 4 my first firearm purchase. Knowing you love it was a big deciding factor for me. I will be using this for home defense and concealed carry. I plan to own 1 gun only, and this one seems to be a great choice.

  • Kudos to Mr. Camera Man. I don't know if he gets enough praise. Behind every great Hickok45 video is a great camera man.

  • @marksixteensixteen I think it's his son. Regardless, they make a great combo. Great videos.

  • I just picked up a Glock 27 Gen4! Absolutely love it.

  • I am writing again to get an answer to my previous question: What PS system holster did you use in this video? I like the fact that you can re-holster it easily.

  • Hey Hickok45 git ur salf some hickok45/glock t-shirts made cause I want one! You dont hav to shoot a hole through it or autograph it but one of them would be nice fir Christmas. Thanks n "Merry Christmas"

  • what was the model of the ps system inside the pants holster use in his video of the Glock 27?

  • which g27 you prefer? 3rd or 4th gen?

  • Great video. Thank you. I am debating between the Glock 27 and the CZ rami...I think this vid pushed me over the edge. Very entertaining vids and great shooting. Glad I'm not a metal chicken! God Bless

  • picked up brand new glock27 gen4 and glock23 gen4 last week now all i need is some land to set up my range this shooting can get a little costly glad i planted that money tree years ago love your chanel hickok45 jammed with great info thanks

  • Tell Glock they sold another one of these babys because of you, picked it up on saturday. Thanks hickok

  • Mr. Hickok, Did you ever try a Glock RTF ? I think you would really like the grip.

  • Can you compare a G27 to the Sig P250 subcompact?

  • Comment removed

  • Got one like it 30 minutes ago from the cabelas, now it's time to start shooting and for an super tuck holster

  • lol you are gettin down with the one you love. I have to say myself the glock 27 is a real masterpiece specially with 9mm and 357 sig wolf barrels. What can't this gun do?

  • @mrbratsch it cant shoot lead bullets=(still i love glocks though cant wait to get 1 for myself

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 Yeah? Where are you from?

  • @mrbratsch im from california so only gen 3 for me..which is perfectly fine..and you

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 Up in Seattle. Yeah California is harsh on the gun laws man. only 10 rounds. But I was wondering why you can't shoot leads bullets. what's stopping you?

  • @mrbratsch i can shoot lead bullets but just not in a glock..glocks dont like lead or cast bullet

  • @mrbratsch polygonal rifling in glock barrel, no grooves like standard rifling. Some polygonal rifling accepts lead just fine just not glocks.

  • @SupremeAmerican Oh I didn't know that. so you're saying it's only capable of firing less then lethal rounds?

  • I wish hickock was my grandpa.

  • @ballzeemagoo lol me too

  • @ballzeemagoo reminds me of my dad

  • just bought a glock 27 thanks to you!

  • My dominant eye is my left one even though I am right handed. I made it a habit of using my right eye instead. But I do not see where my shots land - until I stop and review. Should I return to my left eye or will I find my way eventually? Hoping for your advice since you mentioned that you returned to your left eye.

  • you sight exactly like I do... left eye. My right eye is my weak eye. I spent a long time trying to get it right and then I decided one day to just use my left eye and it all fell into place!

  • WAT IF DA BULLETS REYCASA

  • @DatStudTay305 Try it again in english

  • I own a glock clone sw9ve but I'm looking into purchasing a g27 for conceal carry. I think glock should hire you for marketing purposes. You got me sold

  • For the holidays could you shoot out jingle bells on your range?

  • Been a big fan for a while, figured I'd comment, awesome reviews, awesome shootin! Love my G33 stock, but even more with the 40cal barrel slipped in. Keep up the awesome work.

  • Fucking good camera can even see the bullets flyin against the metal plate! 12:55

  • very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the video im doing research on what kind of hand gun to get just got my gun permit and , i dony have much knoledge on guns ,but from hear say glocks are great..can you tell me whats the bestof the glocks to get ??

  • Thanks for the video. Some impressive shootin there sir. I just picked up a Gen4 G27. Looking forward to putting it through it's paces. Wish I had as nice a shooting gallery to go practice at, but the indoor range will have to do.

  • Hickok! Thank you SO much. I recently started shooting in the past month. Today I purchased my Glock 27 Gen 4 :)

    I couldn't be happier.

  • I love your passion for firearms. Its very enjoyable to watch.

  • What do you guys think? Does he like the G27 Gen4?

  • Ive been tossing around which gun to buy for CC You just made up my mind. After seeing how excited you are about shooting it. BTW I love watching you videos

  • You can actually see the projectiles flying before they hit the big gong target (at 12:50). That's pretty neat.

  • Man, you CAN SHOOT!! Based on your recommendation alone I went to my favorite dealer, Angelito at The Gun Zone in Clackamas and got a G27 Gen 4. I put 200 rounds through it yesterday without a hitch. Easy to clean and break-down too. After I get the hang of moving up from 9mm to .40 I can see how this will be my CC in the future.

I really like your videos. Very honest and very informative, even if it's just watching your shooting method.

  • Great vid as always just picked one of these up cant wait to shoot it.,

  • Correction *G27*

  • I love your videos. I have been reseaching Glocks lately as I intend to purchase one this weekend. Most of the videos and reviews I have watched/read are from individuals who don't have a clue about firearms. Being a former Marine, that irks me a bit. Thanks for the good intel on this weapon. I will be purchasing a G17 Gen 4 this weekend and can't wait to put it to the test on the range!

  • i would hate to be the person to pick this guys brass up.....nice video keep them coming love the 27 as well

  • I know why cuz its a Glock

  • you'r fucking good shutter!!!

  • the best pistol in the world.

  • Mr Hickock. What GR round would you recommend for competition with the 27 gen 4? Best regards. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for the Video you sold me on a Glock 27. Glock should have given you that gun if they saw the Video

  • Great videos Ive been contemplating on what my CCW will be. I am pretty sure that the G27 will be it.

  • you def. made it an easy decision with my glock 23 g4 and i'm thinking the gun show is in a few weeks and you quite possibly did it again with the 27...... Geez your channel is costing me a lot hahaha....... thanks for the reviews, very helpful!!!!

  • Can anyone help me on this decision? I fired 9mm and .40 out of a G19 and G23 the other day. There was obviously a difference, but I could handle both. The .40 took more getting used to of course, but wasn't too bad. I'm also eyeballing the G26 and G27. I want to carry concealed so I thought one of those might be a better choice. So it's down to the size and caliber of one of these four guns as my final decision.

  • Just purchased a G27 G4 today. That sucker kicks a helluva lot more than my 1911 even! It's to be expected though..

Shot 100 through it today and it is perfect.

  • hey hickok ill trade you my m&p40 for this litttle baby!!! please:( lol

  • God I want one of these guns..

  • Hello sir,

I own, and frequently use, a 22 Gen. 4 and love it. It is my first and only Glock. Recently, I began looking into buying a more concealable Glock. I was concerned because I keep reading reports of Gen. 4 failures on forums. I have watched your reviews of the Gen. 4 23 and 27, and all of my worries have been resolved. I will be buying a G23 and a G27 within the year thanks to your reviews. Good shooting, good commentary, good job!

  • Awesome. I didn't realize how accurate one could be at those distances with a sub compact. I own the 19 and its a lot of fun, but its to big for ccw. I'll go look at a 27 tomorrow. Thanks.

  • why do you have to shoot the cowboy in the balls ? @ 8:49 lol

  • What did you say that holster was

  • I bought one based on your reviews. Glad to hear Glock is sponsoring you!!! I now have a 35, 23 and 27. Can you tell I reload 40sw? I also have dillion and shoot 45-70.

  • Hello Hickok45

Your review is the reason I just went and bought a Glock 27 gen 4 I just bought it from GT dist for $398.00 plus tax. Thanks again for the great videos. Tell Glock they just sold me one because of you.

  • my agency is about to make the switch from the HK USP to a glock in .40. I'd be thrilled if they went with the 23 but i'm pretty sure they'll opt for the 22. Any glock will be a welcomed improvement from the HK. It's big bulky and the trigger pull is a nightmare.

  • Hickok,

I have a question for you, I am currently active duty in the military. I am military police and I have decided to go with the glock 27 for my CCW. I noticed the holster you have from Personal Security Systems. I looked on their website, but could not find the exact holster you have. What is the model that you are wearing this this video?? Thanks for any help you have in this matter.

    SSgt Brisco

  • @MrBrisker26 you should check out a holster called sidearmor, inside the waistband. They are really nice for the glock 27 gen4, but pretty pricey, 60 bucks but worth it.

  • I just got my Glock 27 gen 4 today. I love this Little beast!!

  • Mr.Hickok, Great video. I have a request, do you think you'll be able to post a Point Of View shooting segment? Much appreciated -Ray

  • Hi Hickok45, do you notice any difference in shooting the G27 gen 3 and gen 4? Does the latter have a little less recoil? Or is is the same feeling/shooting experience?

  • Had to come back and watch the group of G27 vids. Still have 4 days before I can pick mine up. Gen 4s aren't available here in CA but no big deal. Eager to work out adjusting from my Glock 22.

  • You're amazing Sir.

  • Thanks for the awesome video. Love the t-shirt.

  • I heard that there are a lot of reliability problems with the Gen 4. Does this apply to the G27 Gen4?

  • Would u recommend the gen 3 or 4 overall?

  • Just bought my Gen 4 Glock 27 based on your reviews thanks! It feels great in the hand and I cant wait to shoot it! It's my first Glock. I finally broke down and bought it to see what all the hype has been about for years. I was always one of those guys that doesnt like to buy what everyone else has. But in some cases there are reasons why everyone has them :) Thanks Hickok! Your vids are so informative and have helped me on my last three purchases.

  • nice puddle jumper

  • @tormozat , They are actually stronger than G 3 springs. Probably LESS likely to fail.

  • @hickok45 Sir Will You PM Me The Number To Glock HQ

  • @tormozat , Around 09/07/2011, there was a new spring recall announced for many Gen 4 Glocks, but it did not affect the compact models, including the G27.

  • @hickok45 Do you plan on getting the new glock 1911. There is prototype gen 5. It is sexy looking.

  • @tormozat FYI -- Just trying to help you out here... The "Gen 4 springs" in the Gen 4 Glock 27s are the same as the springs in the Gen 3 Glock 27s (Same deal with the other sub-compact Glocks). The only Gen 4 Glocks to receive recoil spring updates are the compact and full size frame models. Take care.

  • Just picked up my Gen 4 27 today and love it... Tell Glock they better send you a commission check

  • 12:57 What the? You can actually see the bullet flying? Hm, I thaught bullets were faster...

  • @snemeis90 im not a gun expert but dont they slow down after time in the air?

  • @twltutorials That's true. But... hm, just... speechless.

  • Just recently found you videos. Great job!! I have to admit because of your vids I have decided to purchase my first Glock.

  • Thinking this might be my next gun.

  • HICKOK45 Thanks for all your great stuff. Looking for Glock 27 to carry all day at work, do you have any comment on Gen 3 vs. Gen 4? Love my G23 but gets a little heavy in plainclothes after 8 hours.

  • Quite impressed of the hitting percentage on the 230yrds gong with a G 27 (barrel: 3.45inches!). Still deciding between G 30sf, 23 & 27. I think u can just go ahead and chop off ur hands and replace them w/ glocks 4 a Quentin Tarantino movie.lol

    Thanks for your videos!

  • hey hickok, what is the idea behind loading one bullet less for the glock magazines?

  • @defto777 It's only because the last round can be tough to get in the mag. I have some mags that even with a loader it can be hard loading the last round.

  • Love your stuff! would you consider green bullets?

  • Just picked up a gen 4 Glock 27...going to shoot it for the first time tomorrow. I traded my Glcok 19 for it, which never ever malfunctioned in 3k plus rounds. My G19 was also a Gen 4. I camp/fish/hike often in black bear and wolf country. Iiked the ides of s light weight 40 cal round.

Which FMJ load would be better in the woods out of the G27 (small bears, coyotes, wolves, etc) a 165 grain FN FMJ or a 180 grain FMJ FM?

  • @ryanhough51 well i would advise 180 grain can't go wrong really, epically if your not dealing with larger bears, but im sure 165 grain would do the job pretty well it is 40 caliber after all and not to big of animals to worry about. I will say though i would go with hollow point's seems like a better idea, in my opinion anyway.

  • ha great video, nice testing, you are pretty hilarious :P

  • awesome carry gun, liking the holster "plugs", i need some ideas on good holsters!

  • @stefano2841991 go to ZombieTacticalStore(dot)com

  • I can't decide between a G27 or an XDm 9 3.8 for conseal carry. What would everyone recommend me?

  • @grimreapper I'd go with the Glock, nothing wrong with the springfield, I have both and both are great guns. I just think Glock is more resistant to all the elements that are hard on a gun. They don't rust, you can't get them dirty enough to fail, there freakishly durable and they always work. Plus anything that you could want for an accessory is plentiful relatively cheap and readily available, and a holster selection that will make your head spin.

  • awesome shootin, awesome vids, awesome guy

  • Thank You Hickok once AGAIN! You make me want a Glock and I am not a Glock Dood at all. :)

I wanted to comment on the beautiful resolution of your new camera and the person wielding it.

There are some fantastic shots (gun & camera) that we are able to see CLEARLY.

I truly love watching the bullets hit the gong on the close-up 'shots'.

You make shooting a short barrel look real easy...

    Thank you Sir!

  • What do you mean when you say that this gun is a T and E gun?

  • @ICCW09

Trial and Error, I think. Basically, they sent it to him so he could try it out, but not for keeps.

  • @NightBlaze408 Test and Evaluation.

  • @ICCW09 test and evaluation

  • nice handgun

  • noTHING BEATS OUR VERY OWN DANAO MADE PISTOLS...............

  • Hey hickok big fan of yours wish i could have a range like yours down here in Miami,Fl. so i could get as good as you... anyways wanted to let you guys know i tried to contact Personal Security Systems 3 yes i said 3 in the last solid week and they will not return and email about pricing for LEO's looks like a great holster im ready to buy and wait up to the 70+ days for it but the customer service S**** cant even get a price and get in line for a holster i WONDER how there warranty is!!??

  • MR HICKOK THANKS YOU HAVE CONFIRMED FOR ME THAT THIS WILL BE MY NEXT HAND GUN...THANKS ALOT GREAT VIDEO AND SHOOTER

  • Great Video, great setup of targets......Gen 4 needs a hand all....Grip is smaller and slightly better than Gen 3..........Grip is great but IWB, this little pocket rocket is very abrasive against skin

  • you can see the bullets hitting the gong and ricocheting off around 13:10

  • Like the video, I got myself the Glock 27 a few days ago and I love the feel. I'll be doing a video on it later. I am curious though, which gun and caliber do u use as EDC and why?

  • Im bout to be buyin my first hand gun and i have been watchin all your videos. Im wanting to know which gun would you prefer most im lookin at the glock 23 or 27 but just cant make up my mind on which i would like to get so if you could help me break down my choice would be great also which holsters would you prefer for the glock 23 and 27 to be able to make them conceal best. I love watchin your videos keep them coming.

  • Does the G27 stand a chance at surpassing the G23 as your gun you would have if you could only have one Glock?

  • Great video hickok, as usual. I'm bettin you're gona keep that little baby ;)
