  • I watched this in the middle of history class cause we were learning about Latin America

  • This ain't Spanish Mexican music , This is Spanish spain music

  • Are you crazy ! we brazilian people speak portuguese !! not spanish ! you should of put the rio de janerio samba song

  • stupid gringo. Do you think brazilians speaks spanish? or the capital of Brasil is Buenos aires? Very stupid music. Very bad test in the music choice. BRAZIL is a latin country, but we do NOT speak SPANISH, moron

  • I just wanted to let you know that a new website, Maroond.com, is starting a travel video contest. The videos should be short , around 5 minutes, and should highlight a place you know very well and that you enjoy. There is a prize for the top videos, but the real point is to have fun explaining why your place is the place to be ; )

  • Que cidade linda essa que eu vivo *-*

  • I was born in Rio and I really can't get to understand the soundtrack of this video... it has nothing to do with the brazilian soul... Bossa Nova, Samba would be much better and more appropriate.

  • I am from brazil , I hateeeee spanish music -.- , here we don't listen these musics spanish , us listen music Brazilian and english music ,

  • What you did was confuse Brazil with all the freak south America...Was the same thing if we confuse Mexican culture with the U.S culture...both are north America right? Or make all the countries of Europe listen the same music, have the same culture or speak the same language...Really, tell me the name of your college because I never will study there!!!!

  • WE HATE SPANISH, LATIN OR MEXICAN MUSIC!!!!!!! DANG!

  • People don't be fooled. the media in Brazil is controlled in Rio and Sao Paulo ,so they keep giving false perceptions and falsely advertising Rio de Janeiro, like it's the place to visit (when It;s not). You'll find no warmth off the cold, unfriendly, lying, opportunist, people (who hate foreigners). It;s very expensive, hard to get around. Please visit the Nordeste where you find the warmth of the people true beauty and real Brazilian experience like in Bahia.

    Rio = shame of Brazil.

  • Do you even know why drug cartels have a billion dollar business. Because americans demand for drugs is really high. Americans spend billions of dollars in drugs each year. So who do you think really is chalked up on drugs?

  • Yeah, whatever.

And you clearly seem to understand how things work in the world, all brazilians take drugs and all american are fat and dumb.

Rio the most beautiful city of the world!

    ciao

  • droga! o que o brasil tem de errado? nos sofremos tanto preconceito por que?

nunca fizemos mal a nenhum americano

  • Dear Consierge:

I agree with most all opinions listed here, I enjoyed the images but you failed to attach the right background music to your commercial effort. I have been a guest of Rio and it is indeed a "cidade maravilhosa", therefore you better revamp the soundtrack. You can try Samba Do Aviao or Rio (both with Os Cariocas) or perhaps people with Brazilian roots can suggest you another (Brazilian) music, otherwise its a disservice to yourself!

    Video grade: C+

    Keep promoting Rio...

  • what the fuck

you make a video about brazil and put mexican music in it?

  • Are these songs even brazilian?

  • NO This is not OUR style.

  • Well, I don't really know from where you took this english language, however it needs improvement...

  • All of you can say whatever you want about sugarloaf mountain, corcovado, ipanema, etc. but what I found more amazing was the warmth of the carioca people. God knows how much I love Brazil

  • sehr gut

  • This Video as Rio Imself deserved other kind os "Sountrack"!!!!. Warmer and sweeter.

    Rio is Beautifull.

  • what a hell is these song for?

  • Paulista

  • What you have seen do exist and are there to be experienced. Rio is an amazing city. Problems? Well, every city has problems. Would you go visit an American slum? So, why bother talking about Rio favelas? Cariocas have a special way of seeing life and their joy is not fabricated.

People who crowd the beaches and soccer stadiums on weekends do have fun.

Want to go to great museums , parcs, beaches, historical places , restaurants? OK, come to Rio. Get away from the cold and come get a tan.

  • Rio super hermoso

  • i would love to live in brazil it is like paradise.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, valeu anos 80, valeu Rio dos sonhos, gostei...FUI NEEENSEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • Not only enjoyed the music of substance .. put a Spanish song instead of a bossa nova

    -.-

  • Brazilians dont like mexican songs...

Just ... Samba, girls, beach and football.

  • I'm Brazilian, and I don't like samba or football (soccer). But I like stereotypes even less. This applies both to that samba/beach/football/etc. cliché (which is to a large extent very specific to Rio's local culture) and to putting Brazilians in a vague "Latin" label (including this video's music).

We Brazilians are very proud of our Portuguese language and heritage, unique in the Americas, and while respecting Hispanic Latin Americans, we don't like to be confused with them.

  • Because you try to pos as if you are European and different, when in reality you are LATIN American. The Euro Portuguese for the most part dont give a rats arse about you, be your self, love your self, and where you come from, not where your great great grandfather came from.

  • it is yust paradise

  • com tantas musicas legais , colocar musica mexicana , nao da nem para terminar de ver o video

  • o video eh bem massa...

mas as musicas, nada a ver...

  • o filha da puta que fez esta merda mostra o brasil com musicas mexicanas .

  • it ıs amezing.

    nice to be there soon.

  • Rocinha is the largest favela in rio, the largest favela in the world is in venezuela your stupid kid

  • how can you not, they have the largest in the world...and also watch out for the police they're worse than the gangs, if you dont pay them what they ask for they will f*ck you up...

  • Don't generalize. Mostly, one can count on the police's help in Rio and everywhere in Brazil. For sure there is corruption and inefficiency, and they don't distinguish much between criminals and just poor people, but I don't think one can generalize.

But I do think a (guided, safe) favela visit is worth doing. Especially to see that it's mostly decent working people who live there, and that they still have a lot of joy in living and a vibrant creativity in spite of all their poverty.

  • ..hei! you visited the RIo? Here it is not as you think ... not be a country are a poor way .. and violence and poverty, has even in the streets of Paris

    ;]

  • like it because realistic....

  • Not really... Like anywhere, a tourist's Rio is very different from what locals experience. The video shows mostly the oceanside Southern districts, where most cariocas (Rio people) can't afford to live. The average carioca's lifestyle is very different and rarely seen by a tourist.

Also, Rio has a very peculiar local culture that is very different from other regions of Brazil (each with its own very distinct peculiarities, for sure). If one has seen Rio, one hasn't really seen Brazil.

  • i live in copacabana and iv never seen a strager living there.. dont talk about what u dont know ¬¬"

  • nice.....

  • good
