if you look in the special edition of alien 3 when the two prisoners are bringing the dead cow inside, at the end of the scene the one prisoer actually finds a super facehugger picks it up and asks, "whats this"? so yes you can actually see one used int the films but HAS to be special alien 3 version.

If this is a Facehugger Queen then she would most likely be in charge of the various Chestbuster's once they emerged from their cocoon. Also there would have to be a Chestbuster Queen in charge of relaying orders from the Queen Facehugger to the other Chestbuster's. I would have to assume that this is true given the fact that the alien hive resembles an ant colony on Earth. I would also have to assume that the Queen Chestbuster evolves into an egg laying Queen during her evolution.

Only reason she was cut from ALiEN 3 was due to budget restraints and the cost it would take to build a totally animated one just for the 2 secs of screen time. For that reason alone they decided to use the pre-built one from "ALiENS" instead and they shot that entire sequence in less than 2 hours. In fact, most of the movie was treated in the same regard, Fincher butchered the script and Hollywood butchered the production. Still some people consider it to be their favorite, not me though!

Looking damn good mate, nice photos.

I know a few people on the forums have mentioned the hovering stance that these Facehuggers have but you soon get used to it.

At the end of the day it's a fairly easy fix, it just needs a slightly shorter steel peg that slightly angled.

To be honest though it doesn't really bother me anyway, it's a minor quibble that I can live with. The main thing is that the sculpt looks awesome and I don't think anyone can disagree about that fact.

Thanks Kev, Yeah the hovering doesn't bother me at all either. And I think its better that way than having the weight of the facehugger itself on the legs, That could cause breakage!
