Because of the magazine at first glance they can look the same since they're both housed in the magazine and the front strap (front of pistol grip) is straight and flat on both. However the stocks are what give it away that and the MAC is more boxy. But at first glance to someone inexperianced in firearms or too those CoD fan boys they look alike.

they both work on fundamentally the same principle. the only significant difference is the ejector- a pin in the mac 10, and I believe it's spring loaded in the uzi, although I could be mistaken- it could be a side-mounted peg. either way, both guns are remarkably similar, although the uzi has one up on the mac for the ratchet in the top cover- it keeps the bolt from falling if you pull it back only part way and then let go.

and the Micro-uzi is a variant of the Uzi which was designed in Israel in 1950 by Uziel gal.

They are smgs of two completely different countries
