How come I cannot change my views controllers? I pressed the buttons at the top right which you talked about at the start, but I click mine and it wont activate?
Loved it... i wanted something like this cause cinema4D's quick start amuses you already know the interface and no where else is there a video that gives you the lowdown of the interface.

when created the new object.... there are three arrows.. to move the object on the x, y, z axis... but the problem is my object does not have those arrows do you know how i could get them? thanks

I've been using C4D for about six months now, but I knew I'd learn something new from watching this basic tutorial, and I did! I never noticed you could tilt(by holding the apple key on a mac, as it turns out), or that you could undo camera movements. :-)

try when clicking to create a new object holding your left mouse button down until the menu appears
highlight the object you want
then let go
