S. Anderson, I'm sure at least part of your preaching is correct, but are you really fit to preach while you so obviously struggle with anger issues? There is absolutely no denying that you have them. You can't be expected to interpret your religion well when your anger is guiding you. I wish you'd focus on getting rid of your anger. If, in the process, your preaching loses some of the fieriness that your congregation wants, your congregation can find other churches they like, so no worries.

It appears & sounds as if Mr. Anderson used "hell" in the context of the third definition, thus rendering it profanity. Schools punish kids for using it that way, my employer disciplines for it, but at Faithful Word Baptist it's ok.

S. Anderson, I'm sure at least part of your preaching is correct, but are you really fit to preach while you so obviously struggle with anger issues? There is absolutely no denying that you have them. You can't be expected to interpret your religion well when your anger is guiding you. I wish you'd focus on getting rid of your anger. If, in the process, your preaching loses some of the fieriness that your congregation wants, your congregation can find other churches they like, so no worries.

I am a pastor, and this type of rhetoric does not glorify God. Pastors need to teach their flock about Christ and how to follow Him, and not mess with politics...we should be concerned about a different Kingdom.

The ultimate measuring stick for anyone professing the Christian faith is to compare their teachings with those of Christ.
If you can see Jesus railing against national leaders for their stance on cultural and social issues (and find support for that view within some kind of historical account of his life and teachings) then you have to agree with this man. If on the other hand, you see Jesus teaching love, acceptance, and closeness to God absent human judgement ...
