I extend all my respect to Angelo, but he is not a good player, he is certainly better than me and certainly better than many people that watch him in this video, but honestly very little feeling, the only son i really love from him is Speed Kills, and kinda that's it, if you check his stuff out he actually uses portions used there in all the solos he plays... sadly not an inspiration, or anyway not the inspiration you would need...

I still prefer the G3 (in the vein malmsteen and michael in the chain), other than michael angelo plays arpeggiated any scale and is without feelings. Slash is the coolest, easy, didactic, simple and really cool! shows that we do not need to be very good!

What really made me feel positive about this guy is an interview at his house.
He really takes a great care about all his guitars, the guy is really nice and seems like a very cool guy to talk to, although his music doesn't make me feel anything.

Michael Angelo's speed playing may not have soul to you but the fact is, Thats Michael Angelo's SOUL that hes pouring when hes playing for everybody to hear. Every soul is different, every guitar players SOUL may be appealing and influential to others more, but to be able to play like this or that requires soul in general

You CANT prove something sounds better or has more emotion or is written better because music exists to please the listener and different things sound better to different people and have different emotional effects. i thinks Batio sounds better that slow blues stuff. the only thing you can prove/ judge or consider is skill.

To prove my point, there's Mr. BB King, who himself says he's got no technique, or Mr. David Gilmour, who says that he doesn't play faster because he can't. And you can't say they have no talent. But sure you can have both, to have technique it doesn't mean you don't play with soul...the thing is, you can't lose yourself doing lots of shred and forgeting about melody, and that happens a lot. What really made me feel positive about this guy is an interview at his house.
He really takes a great care about all his guitars, the guy is really nice and seems like a very cool guy to talk to, although his music doesn't make me feel anything.

I´m not a super fan of this guy but 2x Again is one the best songs i´ve ever played and i don´t like to much the speed and a lot of notes, but come on... This guy is so fu%#$ fast and so fu&%$ clean, that´s something that any real good guitarrist can see...The other guys are just ignorants talking about something they don´t know. Yeah, anyone can see that he is a speed guy, but...I don´t know what kind of personality can´t found feeling in the any piece of him...Live a little more my friends.

But seriously, if they were only meant for practice, we would still have technically remedial guitarists like Kurt Cobain.

@HENJAM48 Definition of Soul is probably not what you think it is. These guitar players all have soul but it appeals or influences different people in a different way. Michael Angelo's speed playing may not have soul to you but the fact is, Thats Michael Angelo's SOUL that hes pouring when hes playing for everybody to hear. Every soul is different, every guitar players SOUL may be appealing and influential to others more, but to be able to play like this or that requires soul in general

@HENJAM48 i prefer impressing and amazing people with skill and speed. to each his own though. the thing is, songwriting, and sound/emotional quality of music is subjective. You CANT prove something sounds better or has more emotion or is written better because music exists to please the listener and different things sound better to different people and have different emotional effects. i thinks Batio sounds better that slow blues stuff. the only thing you can prove/ judge or consider is skill.

@SickneZZ2 That's actually true for most guitarists but not all. To prove my point, there's Mr. BB King, who himself says he's got no technique, or Mr. David Gilmour, who says that he doesn't play faster because he can't. And you can't say they have no talent. But sure you can have both, to have technique it doesn't mean you don't play with soul...the thing is, you can't lose yourself doing lots of shred and forgeting about melody, and that happens a lot. But as i said, that's true for almst all
