Like $20...probably a rip off...but it was the cheapest on ebay by quite a bit. There's this website I'd have to hunt down a link for that sells tons of Atari crap. It's like the ugliest web page in the world but it's got just about anything you could ever want that's Atari related. It seriously looks like a bad 1998 angelfire/geocities website...It's usually just easier to call the guy and see if they've got what you need.
I'm gonna check out that cybermorph review, because I believe in Jerry Terrifying and if it has his seal of approval, it's got to be damn good!
my only exposure to the Jaguar or Jag-Wire if you're Gamester81 (i kid i kid), was my childhood friend who was spoiled as all hell and got everything he ever wanted, he got the Jaguar.........I did enjoy Alien vs Predator............maybe I'll ebay me one sometime down the road.
I agree, unboxing vids are fun and as a collector, I'm always curious about whats out there and what items might be reviewed or talked about in the future.
Wow, I've never seen a Jaguar game box before. I've NEVER see what they looked like on the shelf.
The controllers actually not bad. It's pretty comfortable really. But hitting the buttons on the numneric pad is a little awkward. However Iron Soldier uses them well. You can select the different weapons just by hitting a clearly labled button. Pretty cool.
Where'd you buy your AV cable? Is it an official one? Reason being, you can find much better ones online that'll hold up a lot better. I bought mine from More Than Games. It's an s-video cable, more specifically.
I love unboxing sealed copies of classic games. Even better, a few years ago, I managed to get a sealed Atari Jaguar, and opening that was Heaven. There's just something really, really awesome about opening sealed copies of something released so long ago.
I had a much more awesome experience opening my copy of Virtual On Netlink Edition. Breathing in that genuine 1997 Japanese factory air was amazing. :D
I remember TigerDirect, sometime around the beginning of 1996 or so, had brand new Jaguar systems, games and maybe the CD add-on for very reasonable prices. I just wish I had been more into retro gaming at the time (I had SNES and Sega Genesis then).
I remember the system itself was under 50 dollars and most of the games were 15-20 each. All new, all sealed.
Man if only I could go back in time to invest in all the sweet deals I hear about. I've heard a ton of stories of people getting brand new copies of Snatcher for a few bucks when stores were clearing out Sega Cd crap.
I only have cybermorph and checkered flag for my jaguar, so needless to say it's collecting dust at the moment. I've always heard Iron Soldier was a relatively decent Jag game.
Iron Soldier is pretty sweet. I stayed up all Saturday night playing the fuck out of it. It's nothing great but you can't go wrong with robots smashin shit.
yeah i have no interest when people get new age games really. unless i like to hear the person talk. when someone spends money on something they hunt for and its retro i think its kool seeing what people get. i have gotten games and it has helped others make a decisions.
Can't say that I've ever seen anyone open an Atari Jaguar game on cam before! This video is cool shit man. And I think it's great that that game is going to get some play now. Games are meant to be played!
Yeah that's another one on my short list of must get Jag games. I've played the Saturn version and it was pretty bad. I'll give the Jag version a fair shot though...I know it's the best version.
Up close, it looks like it says "Ron Soldier". I think I'm going to make that my new criminal alias (but you didn't hear it from me...)

Always cool opening up a sealed game! By the way, how much did you get your AV cables for? I've thought of looking into getting myself a set.

There isn't too much I ever actively look for on the Jaguar. lol but if I ever find something I'd really like to hunt down, I'll check with you first.
By the way, do you by any chance have Silent Hill or Parasite Eve 2 for the Playstation?

Wasn't that review amazing? If you've ever done acid, awesome experience by the way, you can totally understand how that review came to be.

Sadly no, but I one day plan on: a 60inch HD plasma screen, a bag of mushrooms, and GEOMETRY WARS.

Hahaha Jag-Wire's fine...I find it hilarious how it's pronounced across the pond in Brittain. "Jag-you-are."

Well watching an unboxing of new games is fine as long as it comes with a review. I do like to see how new games play and what people think of them.
I especially like BigSmileReviews unboxings. That dude cracks me the fuck up and gets me excited as hell about video games.
