i really feel bad for the fish in those conditions, i think we should all stick to captive raised discus, i mean what happens when there's no more discus in the wild, well its human nature to destroy mother earth,,

my mother loves discus, she has plenty of them, she was disgusted in what she could be possibly supporting. her discus are her babies and for her to see this movie and walk up to me telling me how devestated she felt, i felt inclined to write this, we need to do more into stopping this mistreatment of discus in their natural environment.

Hi guys, i'm brazilian.

Really this way isn't the most correctly to handle these fishes.

Need more care to transport from one basin to another... the position aside, with low water in basin, I think that is correct, because discus are much stressed and probably will try to jump out if has more water on recipient... but the guys need more carefully!! They look like a mason in works... :/

PS:these white basin appears to be small but is the more practice way to get the fishes in their habitat... here the "igarapés" are surronded by trees and only little boats can go into small places... if they have a lot of weight, it will sink.

hi , yes , you are correct , my intention in teacher the fisherman to minimize the fish problems. this is good when use the correct fisheries techniques , correct transport , and correct keeping and quarantine and storage .

this is very upsetting to watch for any discus lover. Can't believe this is how they are treated. These fish require great care.

this is a old fisherman transport , now i'm have my fisherman with a new mentality to improve the high quality , is necessary a good discus fishery methodology and , good transport with water change and a good quarantine area to recover all discus , but priority is minimize the fish stress in the fisheries with more care.

do they know that there are batter ways of treating them. they are really valuable and expensive fish.

The handling and tranport of those fish is appaling. Do they think its fine to have fish in water not deep enough to swim uprite? Then handling fish, pouring from box to box. Such a shame they dont seem to care for their fish.

Some pretty fish being thrown about as if it were a ball being thrown for a dog.

technical primitive.I am trying to modify . but it is very difficult to modify the head of the fishermen, they don't have education are Indian that live of the fishing.I am trying to take some knowledge for the fishermen so that they can develop this activity in a more rational and maintainable way without destroying the nature and nor to put the fish in extinction, but the main factor is to change the transport methodology to minimize the suffering
