A reason why I do this variety sometimes is to work the biceps a bit more. I have quite small arms compared to everything else. Right now, when I do chin-ups (palms facing me), I usually use an even more narrow grip than in this video, which I feel even more in my biceps.
@Hoosier111 Yeah, Smaller grip will exercise the bicep more indeed, Do you got any goals? How far have you gotten now? I just came home from a 3 and a half hour exercise for my back, new personal in deadlift as well, so far it has been an excellent day! :)
In kinesiologese, pull-ups are chin-ups done with a pronated grip (palms down grip) and chin-up are done with either a semi-supinated (palms facing each other) or with a supinated grip (palms facing you grip). So theese are pull-ups.
Either way, it's not often you se a girl doing any "bodyweight" exercises with extra weights.
These are chinups not pullups, that's how far apart the hands should be.
Typically you'd have them wider for pullups, but in all reality if you're training for useful strength you'd vary it up anyways.
I trained sticking closer to bodybuilding theory and found that when I was climbing I'd have serious problems coming from other angles. Now I train with a variety of grip angles and distances and I've found I have way more useful strength.
@Hoosier111 Not to be dramatic but you look like a woman should look. Love the power, size and the muscular "V" shape. Must have been a lot of work. Women like you really challenge guys. We need that!! Love how you squeeze (pump) those lat muscles to get those last two (also in your other chin vids). GREAT FORM.
I was quite weak when I started lifting weights, so I think anybody can learn how to do it with a little practice. It took me four months of dedicated training just to be able to do ONE chin-up with my own body weight (and I was only 56 kg at the time).

This works the bicep more than the back, It's not hard to do a pull-up with the palms facing you.
