L.A. circa 78 created stage diving, slam pits(hb strut), etc. That dancing girl was nails though. anyone know her name?

Saw them at a Chicago dive across from the Jade Dragon Tattoo Parlor (forget the name of the place) back in 1990, before DGATNR was released. The live version of "Jump For Joy" was un-effing believable. Beats the studio version by a billion miles. Don't what happened during the recording sessions, but that song got castrated in translation.

What strikes me about WS is not just the music, but the also lyrics. They seem to be more prescient with each passing year of American imperialism and the ever-growing gap between the rich and poor in both the developing and developed world. I don't really agree with some of Kory's answers to our problems, but at least he warned us about the s*it - which is more than most of the vacuous music out there that fills the charts and numbs our minds and souls. Keep it up WS!

I don't think you can compare them. Nirvana were much more minor chords, droney and introspective whereas Warrior Soul were relentlessly in your face with progressive riffs which are quite upbeat.

I saw 'Warrior Soul' twice in the 90's n 2 compare them with Nirvana is really very dumb. Nirvana had a fucked up charisma n 2 or 3 songs of outstanding quality. WS had neither of those qualities. They were an average, angst ridden US metal act. Nothing more, nothing less.

I transferred this video straight from the promo VHS tape, so obviously it was censored on the tape. I considered replacing the audio with the uncensored album version, but wasn't sure if it would sync up properly with the video, so I left it the way it is. I'll try it and see what happens. Haven't seen this classic for years. Cheers. Saw WS in 1990 supporting Metallica in Birmingham UK. Most of the 10000 crowd didn't know what to make of them but a fair few thousand saw the light. Was an awesome performance.

i went to that. warrior soul were fucking cool. i remember a road coming on after they played with the biggest hoover known to man to clear away all the shit that had been thrown at them. metallica were quality that night. those were the days.

Wow, well, ..Um, I guess it would of helped if I ever had unwrapped mine. lol I swear I've seen an uncensored video of wasteland, who knows where it came from I guess. Anyway, kick n' thanks for the upload anyway. I'll ask one of my best vid pals if he knows and drop him this link. If that don't work I'll ask Kory if one is available next time I talk to him. I transferred this video straight from the promo VHS tape, so obviously it was censored on the tape. I considered replacing the audio with the uncensored album version, but wasn't sure if it would sync up properly with the video, so I left it the way it is. I'll try it and see what happens. If it comes out OK, I'll upload a new uncensored version.
