What? I don't think your comment made any sense not trying to insult you but I'm not sure if you are for or against Mac. And for the "savvy" part, how much do you know about Mac OS X? I know that it is Unix base and so are a lot of other OS's but Mac actually offers an easy to use UI. And if you are wondering if I am a "Mac Fan" the answer is no, I am an OS fan. Whatever does the best job for that particular job is the answer. fyi I'm mostly for GNU/Linux because of the core belief of being free

Being a mac-fan, I dislike windows from the beginning, but this would be very useful for corporations and such.

If Microsoft made THIS as a concept, it shows that they are unable of thinking on the limits of todays computers, as they did with Vista, thats why Vista was such a big flop, limits that were crossed. I like the screen though, but nothing that will be implemented in a near future. Good luck Microsoft, you are the ones losing.

the only reason why vista was slow for YOU was because you didn't have a good enough computer. if you have a 2001 pc that won't work well with vista! windows me was the sucky program from microsoft. vista is perfectly fine.

Why would you use the computing power you normally use for gaming, to run an operating system? Sounds like a waste to me.

I've been quite happy with Windows XP, knowing that the OS wont steal the performance I want to use in gaming.

what do you mean a faster system! are you saying that vista was slow? if you say that you have a crappy computer, no offence man, but if you have a no good computer, vista isn't going to work to well, like you think, "hmm i think i am going to install vista on my 2000" Well that WON'T work because a 2000 is an old computer, you need a computer with a good video card and a good hardrive, atleast a a 8400 GT or GTX most likly get a 8400 GTX, so there is your problem Dinjin201

Lol sprry i didnt mean to say that vista was slow, its just windows 7 will be (and is) faster... I got the beta and installed for dual boot on my desktop. Heres my specs:

2.93 ghz core2 duo

4gb 667mhz ddr2 ram

Ati radeon hd4550 512 mb (rates 5.1 on windows experience index)

Vista runs great, but the speed of the windows 7 beta surprised me... If you havemt got it yet, please do, ive made up my mind to upgrade asap

Vista was just fine. Remember all the crap with XP when it was new? Also, the main reason for Vista lockups is lack of GPU power. Sure, the new computers at the stores have Core 2 Duo's and even Core 2 Quads plus 2-4 gigs of RAM, BUT!!! They are only using onboard graphics processors. So when you're using Vista it acts laggy because the GPU can't process the GUI fast enough. Pop in a 7300GT or higher and Vista is FAASSSTTTT! All the computers I build & sell have dedicated GPU's, makes Vista Fly!

Wow, this looks like it might be the Microsoft Midori project I've been hearing about, which would mean that it's not Windows at at but a new MS OS. Cool.

Windows 7 looks a lot different though, as we have seen from the demo videos. Can't wait for that either; I'm gonna get a tablet notebook just to celebrate it's release (after I wait a few months to see if it's any good of course).
