  • The soundtrack to this should be Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues"

  • after 0:36, this dude apparently can't get his finger wet enough. i don't want to be the guy that has to clean up those pages!

did any of you also realize that this is a MAJOR contributor to global warming? all that paper - wasted. all those trees - killed. kinda strange, because they dedicate SO much of our tax money to 'climate change'. what if the Americans don't WANT climate change? do they shove it down our throats, just like the health care bill?

  • When are we going to learn that jobs for the sake of employment are nothing more than welfare? When are we going to learn that if we can’t afford it we can’t have it? I do believe that there are many idiotic republicans out there, but the main idea is irrefutably true. Jobs need to be made through legitimate business in the production of a product or service, and that we cannot afford to spend not only anymore then we are, but what we are, already spending.

  • GO PAGES

  • That guy looked alpha as fuck

  • Thats a figgin' awesome speech... thing... Whatever it is it is indeed awesome!

  • where's seth and amy?

  • Wow... Little dramatic?

  • wheezy waiter sent me!!

  • the guy looks mad.

  • Love it! Right or left, the politicians only care about themselves, family, friends and all of their respected pocketbooks. Our government is blatantly obvious with it's corruption and we stand around and do nothing about it. We need to pull an Egypt here! We're 300 million strong, let's stand and make a difference! Or just follow down the same path and continue to let government officials abuse their power at the expense of us. It is just sickening we continue to let it happen...

  • democrats are idiots and republicans are hypocrites, what the GOP say and does are on opposite ends of the spectrum, at least the Dems don't try to hide the fact that they spend tons of money

  • @JSSFRK101 Kudo's. As I've always said...I lean left because they lie less.

  • sorry if i sound ignorant but... who or what is GOP?

  • @sandv1ch generation of paper

  • although i usually hate it when people say that one party is to blame for all of the problems that we have, i have to say, this was very powerful.

  • BAM!

  • i bet the republican/tea party is currently working on a new government cheese program as we watch...............yummy........i got first dibs on the swiss!!!!!

  • Well said.

    And, thank you WheezyWaiter.

  • You know, one day I thought why couldn't all the parties work together and agree together, wouldnt that be great? But then I remembered thats what makes this country. Different opinions will balance it even if it leads to frustrations. Ok that sorta made sense right?

  • Sorry, what'd he say?

  • So, "Day of Silence" > Environment? Look at all the paper being wasted.

  • @Royisinabox

Did you watch the video? Hoover started the intervention only a few months after the crash. FDR just continued it. Unemployment barely rebounded because it didn't have time to. Hoover started the intervention which shot unemployment into the double digits. It peaked at 9% before that. If you prefer to skim an article, you can look at this: thecitizen(.)com/blogs/thomas-sowell/06-29-2010/proven-government-intervention-prolonged-great-depression

  • This is why I'm moving to Canada

  • Why aren't political parties dissolved by now? The only thing they manage to do is force the public at large to draw a line in the sand, demanding them to choose a side, when things really aren't that simple. Nobody should have to be classified as a Democrat, Republican, Conservative, or Liberal. It's just asinine. Be a person, not a party; how else are you to get the support of the people you're supposed to be representing?

  • did wheezy waiter bring you here? he sent me!

  • @Royisinabox

Not very many people know what actually happened in the great depression. Thomas Sowell explains that government intervention prolonged the great depression in this video. watch?v=AQQon4tjlSA

The economy was rebounding until the government intervened.

  • that was awesome...

  • @Royisinabox And what happens when we tax the wealthy people less? My view is that we should all be taxed at the same rate, none of this 15% for the wealthy and 35-45% for the poor. Unfortunately the wealthy people do have the power to make their political views happen here.

  • im hear because of craig

  • regardless of what was written, im not taking sides, but this is the dumbest shit i ever seen from fucking politcians , how dumb can they be? its like some shit demetri martin sketch and something they got from the blue man group...

  • Oh, look at the craft the little Democrat made. :D

  • @SkinnyTiesFTW Did you read any of it?

  • I wouldn't have wanted to shake his hand after that...

  • Does his face at the end remind anyone else of Water Cannon Man?

(Can't link. Google it. First result.)

  • It's hilarious how narrow-minded people are. I am a conservative, but I don't think either side cuts jobs or secures money for the rich (whom congressmen are not). That's just ridiculous to accuse someone of. The reason for rich tax cuts is because any higher and they hire pro lawyers and get exempted, which would kill tax revenue. Additionally, I feel it necessary to point out that healthcare is not sustainable. I fear for the free market in the next 100 years. I wish I had more room to post..

  • epic face at 1:17

  • So many wasted trees

  • This cracks me up... His death stare throughout looks like he could kill someone, and then at the end you can tell he thinks he just won the whole debate and all the Republicans should bow to his superior reasoning and rhetoric.

  • lol, that looks sharpied in, i bet they made the hot intern in the behind the paper draw that

  • That...was amazing.

  • @Royisinabox The democrats are not trying to fast track the USA into a 2 class system of haves and have-nots. The republicans are hell bent on making a 2 class system where the weight of the taxes and labor are supported on the shoulders of the common man, while the wealthy sit back and watch their money grow.

  • ..at you waisting paper.

  • im watching glen beck right now :)

  • I want to joke about how much paper he's wasting, but, I'm too busy applauding to care.

  • @LyraKamiya You know what makes me speechless? All that paper he's wasting!

  • That was very impressive to say the least. You could have hear and pindrop and it would have been inpossible to tune out...even if one did not want to listen!

    Nice move !!

  • This was clever and definitely got my attention. I wonder if anyone else got it...

  • This is awesome

  • I like this. :)

  • Clever yet untrue

  • Really? The voters voted for more jobs in the fall? I think they voted against government jobs and for a reduction in the deficit.

  • -------If people are stupid enough to vote in Republican leaders then they deserve to have their jobs and money taken away for the rich by the Republicans. -------

  • Jobs...

    Who needs jobs?

The GOP has enough money, none of them ever have to work a day in their lives.

Why should anyone expect people that wealthy to care about anyone who isn't that wealthy? It would be nice if they did, but seriously, who did you think they would protect when the economy went south?

  • BTW- Crowley is a career politician who has never held a REAL job. He is a liberal standing in his ivory tower representing the dodgy neighborhoods of Queens and the Bronx...

  • @womsterr Hm...playing farmville is an example of not having a "real" job...how can one expect to be taken seriously about their political opinions when one doesn't even see the chariotors of politics as a real job...doesn't make sense to me...just sayin.

  • @PyroHaven07 Career politicians are the very reason the country is in such poor shape. Doling out other peoples money with no idea whatsoever how to CREATE wealth or jobs. Very much like our community organizer in chief, which is why the economy is showing barely any improvement under his command. This despite spending a TRILLION FREAKIN DOLLARS... Democrat solution to everything....SPEND MORE.

  • @womsterr so the fact that career politicians are always appointed by the people. So your congressman, senator, your representative all of them are people that the citizens vote into office...can't be a career politician without the people giving them that career. As far as solutions it has become clear that the Republican solution is to balance this budget on the backs of those that don't have lobbyists protecting them i.e. Poor/middle class. so again you make no sense.

  • If you are so against career politicians why not start voting for those that have little to no experience in the political realm into office...if one is ANTI-career politician than it is safe to assume that Donald Trump will be the person you would vote for if he were to run. Seeing as you probably have no experience in politics how would YOU create wealth and/or jobs, how would YOU improve this economy?

  • so - to paraphrase Crowley: 1) He thinks that a .0001% spending reduction is just fine with a trillion dollar deficit. 2)He is "just fine" with mortgaging our children's future and things there is a magical pot of money guarded by unicorns that will bail the US our from going bankrupt. 3) He thinks governments job is to coddle and care for people, womb to tomb.

Nice gag Crowley - but you don't fool any of us.

  • The only thing Rep Crowley is concerned about is preserving the split between Democrats and Republicans. This is his platform. Maybe if he was working towards bringing the parties together, instead of keeping them apart, we would see progress in creating jobs, improving access to healthcare, and reforming unfair tax codes. Then again, it is easier for him to stand up there like a pompous douchebag and point fingers at the other side of the aisle.

  • @bbuffalonian

The Republicans have made it clear they don't WANT the parties to come together. On the budget, many of them openly admitted they refused to compromise. When the healthcare bill was being written, Republicans on the Health Committee were writing provisions during committee meetings that Democrats agreed to, then when the bill reached the Senate floor those same GOPers would vote against the bill they wrote while accusing Democrats of not cooperating. You can't work with that!

  • I. LOVE. THIS. Who is this man? I love him.

  • ... and how many jobs did the democrats create in that time, hmmm? Have JOBS been priority #1 for democrats recently? Sure doesn't seem like it to me.

Why is there always a double standard with these liberal fuckwits?

  • @chainfire9001 actually there is no double standard, the democrats passed the original stimulus, creating and saving jobs, and they have been pushing for more action to create jobs but the republicans have been stalling because they've got nuthin'

  • @sacredlunatic You call this "stimulus" a success? I sure don't. Obama and his party don't have the slightest clue how to create jobs (except for new IRS agents to enforce his abominable health care bill).

  • @chainfire9001 The stimulus would have been more successful if the Republicans hadn't cut it off at the knees. They didn't spend as much as Obama wanted, and certainly not as much as we really ought to have. The stimulus was too little.

  • @chainfire9001 Wow...You don't pay much attention to politics do you? (And no...Glenn Beck doesn't count.)

  • @smcneal057 It's not flawed logic at all, it's a good plan

  • And using the "look at the waste of paper" "argument" is childish.

  • And I voted republican for my local/state races because that candidate had the best ideas in my mind. I voted democrat in the presidential election for the same reason.

  • As an forward thinking and educated independent, I think the GOP is, has been, and will continue bringing this country down. It's mind boggling to me that anybody can agree with their agenda. I feel sorry for Obama, his ideas could really do a lot of good for this country in the long term, but the GOP simply refuses to accept any of them. Saying "No" to almost everything is the most ridiculous method of governance and will only hurt the United States more in the long run. It's just pathetic.

  • @DaSanyyy lol you said an infront of forward, educated?

  • @DaSanyyy Exactly how I feel. Conservatism can help control unnecessary spending, but instead the GOP just decides to take it too far. If only liberals could be motivated to show up more at the polls, then the GOP would be all but eliminated.

  • @DaSanyyy I hate most of the GOP too, but you're saying that saying no to Obama's policies is a bad thing? Saying no to the patriot act which violates the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th amendments? Saying no to a 3rd war that has nothing to do with us, when we might be supporting the wrong side as these rebels don't want freedom, they just want the power themselves, and have connections to Al-queda?

No to $1.5-$2 trillion deficits, which even makes Bush look good?

    Saying no is ridiculous?

  • @DaSanyyy conservatives are made to feed the idea of hands off capitalism..which would stimulate the economy but would also make us give up our rights to the rich and make the economy also crash hard..but liberals are also feeding the idea of capitalism..or at least the corporations..but turning the blind eye to people who fund them..and giving into them..they forgot there socialist revolutionary roots which fought for rights for the working class

  • @DaSanyyy What are you five and never seen another president before? The Dems did this to Bush too it's how our system works. Plus you can't be serious that ludicrous spending plans by the Dems are going to solve anything right now. The health care reform that was asked for was one the cuts cost not one that will be so expensive it will swallow our entire GDP by 2050 not to mention bankrupt our country

  • @DaSanyyy What agenda? To cut the largest spending section of government rather than expanding it? To not make jobs just to make jobs? The belief of the GOP is that of a much more capitalist America, rather than a socialist America. Socialism is not necessarily bad, but it is bad for emergency jobs, it will put a greater strain on our government. Capitalism is what should control the job market. The GOP is trying to cut spending rather than increase it to solve the problem.

  • It is a brilliant way of communicating, but the communication is only partially true. Creating jobs was only part of the 'marching orders'. We are going about a trillion dollars in debt, just this year. We can't keep borrowing money to 'create jobs'. We don't have money for the health care plan. What got us into this mess was trying to get housing for everybody, while ignoring fiscal realities. Now, trying to get health care for everybody, while ignoring fiscal realities. Both sides overspend.

  • @lukeelliff maybe if we didn't give the banks trillions in bailouts we would have money and do something instead of having no money and getting nowhere.

  • @lukeelliff What really got us in trouble is The Bush adm Got 2 wars going and put them on the credit card First time in history trying to pay for 2 wars with tax cuts Paying private companies like black water and Haliburton Trillions for the wars and at the same time giving them tax breaks so they paid 0% in taxes on the money they took from the ppl. Any more tax breaks and instead of paying 0 taxes, they will get billions in tax refund I guess they do its called subsidies corporate welfare

  • Brilliant....whether you agree with what he's saying or not, you MUST give him props for the utter brilliance behind this!

  • Amazing to see such thoughtful, intelligent responses from the right wing. You surely are what makes America great.

I noted that no one who "disagreed" could refute the facts. Typical.

  • Took the words out of my mouth. Correction he didn't say anything at all.

  • LOL, Awesome. Way to hit home the message.

  • ONCE AGAIN I SEE DICK ARMEY HERD OF DICK TROLLS OUT -

YOU ACTUALLY GET PAID MONEY TO BE ANTI AMERICAN - WHY DON'T YOU GET THE HELL OUT OF AMERICAN AND LET AMERICANS GOVERN THEIR COUNTRY - YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES THINK THE OTHER COUNTRIES ARE SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER TO THE RICH - GIT I SAY GIT YOUR ASSES OUT BOY.

  • Well republicunts - where are the fucking jobs? how much more money do your have to give the wealthy?

  • And here I thought Dems were all 'greenie environment tree huggers'

look at all that wasted paper

of course they waste even more oxygen when they speak

  • As an independent, you gotta love the symbolism:

    1. The house page holding it down for him - Republicans and their desire for control.

    2. Him wasting so much paper - Democratic wasteful spending.

  • @twn78705

I think you over analyzed this a little too much...

  • Nice speechless speech.

  • It reminds me of a video from last month, of a little girl who used a similar speechless presentation after she had been bullied at school. Do democrats feel bullied? Or are they trying to capitalize on something that was popular on the internet last month to appeal to young Americans. Republican or Democrat, vote either way and your getting the same thing, everything else is smoke and mirrors.

  • That was one the top stupid things I've seen from either side in 20 years.

  • @jbpnw

Bush winning re-election was the stupidest thing

  • heroin goat

  • They lied. They always lie.

  • Really, GOP? Really?

  • That was a very clear summary of the GOP's agenda. It's clear what the GOP has accomplished and whose interests they are serving.

  • i cant agree more...neither side has done squat to help the stagnant unemployment rate and the most needy...i too am SPEECHLESS!

  • @chingon711 well, the GOP is technically in charge right now. Private sector job growth has increased -before the gop gained control again-but the toughest thing is that jobs are not only the lagging factor but also-there isnt really anything that can "create" jobs. In capitalism-the private sector, investor confidence control those things.
