We're getting a third generation Prius soon, and it has the EV button standard. I test drove today, and it was really amazing how silent it moved forward in EV-only mode. It was great! I just wish the battery lasted longer :(

The firmware is locked you out HAA HAA.

You could just try pulling the fuel injector plugs so the engine can't run just my two cents.

Hehe Yeah I pulled the EFI fuse on my 01 Prius. Turn the key to start and it tries to fire up and then you are good to go in EV. Need to clear error codes after that with my scangauge.
