Everytime i listen to jimi hendrix, i just wanna get laid with a bunch of girls in hydro massage tubs, then in the bed, getting fucking high dudeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! So rockstar
My mates used to take the piss out of me for liking Hendrix when we were Punks in the late 70's/early 80's, I used to tell them just listen to its brilliance but they couldnt get their heads round Jimi sitting in between the UK Subs and Discharge. Fools, music is music. Still less Fleetwood Mac's first LP, pure dirty city Blues, not like that wollowing 70's Coke stuff they did at all. Personally, Punk and Blues sounded similar to me. Especially Robert Johnson era Blues.
@ Amitus, we,as as species marry first for Love (more than likely confusion) 2nd for MONEY and last but not least for LUST/LOVE...evolution BABY! and great music to screw too... :)
A man has a pecker and wants to fuck a woman. A woman wants power and money. So, it will never be love; it will always be confusion. GOOD FUCKING LUCK, MOTHERFUCKER.
Had this record while he was still alive. Listened to it once and didn't care for it. Later when he died (I was 12) tried it again, same thing. Too harsh. A couple years later I wore it out!
Oh my mind is so messed up...going round and round. No drugs today, but sure as hell miss them. Fond blast from the past. Hope I see him up there somewhere. Or at the bottom of the sea???
@russelyak Uh, FUCK YOU, pal. Jimi's true age was never reported as the record company was worried that kids wouldn't relate to an older guy...jeez, stop sucking your dad's cock and open your spooge filled eyes and take a look at Jimi....does he look 24 years old? You fucking ignorant cocksucker.
This was the breakthrough album of the century - it was a totally new experience for millions, right in your face, and Hendrix delivered on the promise in the jacket notes - you will hear with new ears after being Experienced - compared to the Jersey boys doo-wop harmony and the Beatles tasteful harmony, this music was direct from outer space, no lie
...is it so wrong to believe in the after-live only to hope to meet JH or JM in the heavens ? (and not old, dead ancestors that were boring in contrast) I sure hope that it isn't because if I make it to heaven I'm hunting down those 2 first (then the late relatives)
@86krad Eddie Kramer was the studio engineer and showed that ignorant FUCK Chandler everything he knew, it's WRONG to credit Chandler for anything, it was ALL KRAMER, so FUCK YOU!! I was FUCKING THERE, you ignorant fuckwad, so SHUT THE FUCK UP. Stupid bastard reads the album liner notes and he's a fucking expert...I SHIT BIGGER THAN YOU, YOU LITTLE SCROTE-LICKING SHITWAD.
@TeenCretin Don't forget - Chandler and Jeffreys were already legends in the music industry for producing "House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals for 100 quid. It went to #1 in the world. Chandler had a great sense of how to sell Jimi to the acid blitzed teeny boppers of the era. Jimi understood that. Jimi was on his way to Chandler's the night he died to change producers back to Chandler as Jeffreys alone had been a disaster for Jimi's career. Some say Jeffreys did Jimi in to stop him.
@mcyaflasun Almost 61. I was starting 11th grade when "Are You Experienced" was released. That was summer 1967 an amazing time errr from what I can remember......
@kitty6837 Take a look at that album cover. Can you imagine what it looked like behind a couple of hits of purple Owseley and listening to this music? The Viet Nam war was raging. Riots in the ghettos. Presidents assassinated. You thought nuclear attack by the Russians would start any second. Then you looked over at your friend and he was going insane having a bad trip on poisoned acid (he didn't take purple Owseley but an "imitation"). You look up and the LAPD is headed your way. BUSTED!
@clarkewi - A couple hits of Purple Microdot and it would be a couple of hours before you could even see the album cover! Well, nearly anyway. And fear was not even a memory and "don't mention the war!" My friends were either smiling ear to ear or gazing in astonishment at OEVs. Later we would gather around album covers and become immersed in them (literally, it seemed!). And then we'd sit around and talk about how Love is The Answer, because we had awoken. Never got busted. Peace
Goddamn!! Listen to the production!! Fucking Eddie Kramer was a fucking GENIUS!
Best rock production EVER!! For you ignoramuses out there, the recording was produced and engineered by Eddie Kramer.....he's the guy that decides how the song will sound by manipulating the tones, the vocals, the panning, the echo, etc.
He did an outstanding job on this song. Nobody coulda done better, NOBODY.
@TeenCretin, Kramer himself said he produced the sound that Jimi heard in his head, Jimi was the sound, Kramer used his great talent to lay it down on tape.
May marketers and advertisers burn for nowadays destroying the could be popularity of bands that could as creative as the Experience, but of course Jimi your a legend, keep jamming in the afterlife!
@nvick2009 haha theres a live recording of them playing together back in the day, I guess hendrix hated morrison. Could be due to the fact that morrison kept singing fuck her in the ass over and over haha
I have always loved this one, since 1967!!!
