FYI: Those pads are 32" Kohos, hand made in Finland, deer hair, leather, purchased in about 1979, originally colored blue/orange for the NYIslanders and overstock for Billy Smith...I dyed them Black when I was playing in the Northwest in 90s...they have seen at least 2500 ice session, held up really well for 20 years...the Cooper inner calf pads were what we had to do to protect our calfs/ankles when making skate saves, the seems are duct taped at the lower portions. Nothing today compares.
