Imo opinion twinks are totally nerfed the fact that they can't use leg enchants and a couple others is bad but most can tollerate it, the worst part is that you gain xp in BGs and if you stop ur xp you can only que with other who have stopped their xp and if ur Battle group is like mine that means no BGs at all cuz no one else stopped their xp...really sucks cuz i loved my 19 twink he was beyond beastly.../sigh R.I.P.

Nice video/money making tactic. Can someone please clear this with me please: I haven't played WoW in about 1 year but plan on returning maybe in a few months. I had 2 70's & a twink warrior, lvl 19. The twink was equiped to the max, all best blues, enchants, +40 stamina on legs, arena grandmaster trinket etc. (all except shadowfang), 2.2k hp unbuffed etc.... but now a friend told me twinks have been nerfed... i heard the're shit now and cant use high enchants etc. Please clarify & if true, why?

Its one of the best Twink weapons in the game for 10-19 Battle grounds. High levels will spend a lot of gold on their level 19 char so they can dominate BGs at that level.

Maybe a little more than that, but it's not much more. Sure, you won't get a Shadowfang every run, but there are like 23 BoEs that have a chance of dropping - some more valuable than others.

At 28 you MAY be able to solo it. You'll just need to take things very slow I think. Honestly, I would just go to the Wetlands (I think you said you were alliance) and level up to 30/31. Just do quests and/or murder raptors at the excavation site in the southern part of the zone. At 30/31 go up to Arathi Highlands and quest/murder things there until about 34/35. At that point, SFK will be a piece of cake.

Mmmm, nope, not really. Have you gotten any BoE blues? You should have gotten many at this point. Just remember, Shadowfang or Assassin's blade go for about 10,000g each, so, if they do drop, know what you're using ;)

Oh you're right, you can CERTAINLY buy assassin blades or shadowfangs for less than 5k each on probably 95% of servers. HOWEVER, that's not to say you also cannot find someone who will buy yours for 10k. Overpriced, maybe. The right price to sell at? Definitely.

If you're actually looking to get a specific blue (see: shadowfang AND assassin's blade) then I might suggest using one of my other methods of farming gold which are more consistent and then buying one off AH or another person. I know it seems like a lot, but, you can bargain people down AND, more importantly, the time it'll take you to make 3k, 4k, or 6k gold (whatever you end up paying) will be far less than farming that specific weapon. What professions are you and have you got epic flying?

I'm still farming SFK and i'm not sure what mobs drop SF (or Assa Blade). People have been telling me Bliz changed the drop rates and changed the mobs it drops off of.

If this is true, then this is a godsend and the price of these BoEs are about to fall terribly. A 1% chance drop of Assassins blade or Shadowfang blade off one of four bosses makes this a huge increase in drop rate. I will have to test this out later when I get home. A 1% chance off of each of four bosses is SOOOOOOOOO much greater than a .005% chance off of each random humanoid npc.

The drop rate was supposed to be nerfed to 0.001% (only dropped off of four mobs) but if you are getting it from butcher onwards, i might try farming.

I probably will not. I do not have the time (or need for the gold) to go farm (with fraps running) Shadowfang keep until I get a shadowfang ;) I have gotten 2 shadowfangs in my WoW career. One was off one of the haunted servitors in that same room where I got the blue in this video, and the other was off one of the wailing guardsmen (might have been a commander/whatever) up on the walkway.

On my server, they're down to around 150G for an Assasin's Blade.
