Krakatoa created anak Krakatoa right? Why is the eruption so small?

Because Anak Krakatoa is "building" itself. It grow up about 5 meters/year. When Krakatoa last erupted it literally blew itself apart in less then 48 hours. 12 miles cube of solid rock blasted out. After the eruption was over almost nothing remained of Krakatoa above sea level. Anak Krakatoa first appear in 1927 and have been building up ever since. I think we can say that one day Anak Krakatoa will meet the same fate his "father" met.
