If you don't have haste, try taking the couple extra seconds to Libra against Brynhildr. That will cause Vanille (and Sazh if you auto-battle) to use Mostly Ice Magic, which Bryn is weak to. I haven't cleared this fight myself just yet, my Crystarium isn't filled enough and I forgot to have a Dualcaster Paradigm set. But overall the fight doesn't seem too hard, even without haste. Elemental weakness seems to fill the Gestalt Meter faster. Just a thought. If it doesn't work, let me know :D

i made it just now!! i didnt have haste but just cast both with vigilence and then change to dualcasting quickly, and when you need to heal change to war and peace and back to dualcasting, you will fill the gestault chain gauge quickly =p

Buff yourself with Enfrost, haste, and vigilance and blitz like there is no tomorrow. Faster than switch to dualcasting.

here is what i did and i beat him with 700 seconds left!!!!!!!!

FIRST: use an Aegisol, which can be bought at any save location if u do not have one.

SECOND: go into battle with com/rav paradigm the commando is for a power chain bonus.

THIRD: After first attack switch to rav/rav. U should be able to build a chain bonus upto 230% before u need to heal (i used three potions) At this time there was 1100 still on the clock and the gauge was nearly full then just keep attacking and healing when u can

HELPFUL TIPS WHEN SUBDUING EIDOLONS:

-FILLING EIDOLONS GESTALT GAUGE MUST FASTER IS BY USING A "RAVAGER" role NOT a "COMMANDO" it only slows you down. "SENTINEL" may only be optional but a "SYNERGIST and SABOTEUR" gives you an advantage by weakening eidolons attacks and defense. "MEDIC" is very helpfull role. hope this helps.

If you don't have Haste you can use Fortisol before the battle begins to give you Haste and those other attack buffs and just switch between Dual Casting and War and Peace during the fight.

You dont need to do all that :L

1st Set is Ravager and Ravager so that you dont have to go down to 4th set to get Dualcasting.

2nd Set Ravager and Medic. (Not commando because it does nothing)

I only used Medic set once then I used about 6-8 potions insted of swaping to medic every second... I think I done it within 300 seconds left :D

@xShelleyxBx If you still haven't beat it and don't have haste you should get it. From "retry" go back to the door and out into the city again and fight enemies until you get it. It's on his synergist tree in the crystarium.

Another easy way to beat it is to cast "Dualcasting" from the start of the battle and switch back to "yin and yan" when ever your HP is around 50% I beat it in the first try in about 1:30 mins

@fuke1995 yeah i was just on the same situation and i beat him on my 3rd try.

on the first part make sure that you cast tide turner and use any support abilities that you have. after that switch to dual casting and make sure that you use BLIZZARD AND AERO, these two does major damage and you can fill up that bar in no time. when you need to heal switch to any stance that has a medic and then switch back to dual casting when you have the chance.

Hey for some of the people who are not quite up there and have haste. I used rav/rav and syn/med. Thats all. You do not need to substain the bar for the gastalt to build faster from my experience. I did not use haste. I have phys Sazh and mag Vanille. I was left with 20 on the doom clock so I cut it real close, but I am terrible at rpgs. If I finish 13, and it's looking like I will, it will be the second rpg out of a ton I have played. Anyway Good Luck!

Tide Turner= Synergist +Saboteur

Dualcasting=all ravagers

War & Peace=Commando+medic(substitut­e the Commando for a Ravager to make Yin&Yang; that works, too)

As for abilities, If you don't have them, you may need to go back the way you came for some grinding -_-. It shouldn't take too long to get enough CP for haste and whatever else yout characters may need.

Jeez, this is ridiculously easy. Make sure Sazh and Vanille are at least level three of (what they are best at at the moment) Commando and Medic, respectfully. Second-up is to level up their Synergist/Saboteur roles. Don't be lazy, you need to grind a little in the areas before this battle and the one that precedes it. Stay away from Orion, though. It gives out shitty CP and takes too long to finish off.

His weakness is Frost and he absorbs fire, rest is normal!

When you're in that hallway with Sazh before the fight put on:

Fortisol and Aegisol, which gives u haste, vigi and the rest.

In that battle go directly into Dual-casting stance (Ravage+Ravage) I spammed Aero with Sazh meanwhile she automaticly spammed Blizzard.

Change stance to Yin&Yang whenever ur HP is low, and then back to dual! back and forth!
