just came across this today about a place that i haven't seen or let alone remember as a child..i myself was born there and i must go back, been over 30 yrs...and what a beautiful exotic country...thanks to the Today show for visiting my country...and must say very proud to be Laosian... =)
But in Vientiene theres a lot of hidden talent i B-boyed with the kids down there and wow! there amazing dancers. But there are many great singers and artist too!

I'm proud of my Lao heritage! I love traditional music, but I'm glad that Laos is stepping up! I hope to travel there someday :)

vientiane the spelling is french thats why english pronounce it vieng tien.. lao people need to change the spelling.
