I thought this was fake so I got a ruler and measured both cigarettes, as I see them on the monitor, before and after they moved... my unreliable brain tells me the left one is smaller, even though they both measured 4cm.....

It's funny how easily the brain can be tricked with optical illusions.

The best example is when u think the moon looks bigger in some nights than in others, when we know that the moon is always at the same distance relative to Earth. When your brain associates the moon with another object, like say, a mountain, it seems bigger, when u see the moon on a plain sky, that is it's actual size.
