  • I'm 18 in a few months and I've loved celtic music since..I were 8 years maybe :) so no you teens are not the only ones ^^

  • i am 18 next week and i love this music i am a pagon im new to you tube i like this music but not this one sogn its sad (

  • Skelling in swedish means lazy eyed.

  • Beautiful. Loreena's voice is amazing

  • this song is perfect

  • Celtic = Modern made up term first coined 'Celtic' by the Welsh linguist Edward Lhuyd in 1707 who used the term to group old languages from across the British isles and parts of continental Europe, the term was heavily romanticised in the 1800s, by early 1900s, it was hi-jacked by Irish republicans who used the term as a political tool to resist Britishness during the height of the Irish republican movement by re-defining it as an ethnic term instead of a linguistic term, hence it's fake.

  • I'm 19 years old and sometimes I think I'm probably the only one in my age to love celtic songs. Prove me wrong :)

  • @Pestinha92 I'm not 19, i'm 13, and i LOVE celtic songs, i guess 19 and 13 is quite a big difference, but if you think about it, normally people at these ages are normally into charts music and dont bother finding out about other genres

  • @Pestinha92

I'm 18 and i love this kind of music and I love pan flute music :)

  • @Pestinha92 16 year old weed smoking life fucking kid. this music can really gifs you rest and make you think.

  • @Pestinha92 I'm 18, and world music (including celtic) is probably my favourite genre of music. It's nice to see other people my age who like it too XD

  • have been successful, I can not understand how these four do not like this music

  • 4 people dont know how to use a mouse

  • WOW a loreena song i didn't know until now o___o

    she something like a goddess, isn't she <3 ?

  • Loreena MCKennitt?? Yes!! ;)

  • @Devilliz83 i knew i recognized it!!

  • AMAIZING!

  • It is not a surprise looking at all the comments below, as this tune from the start has you thinking in the past and examining where we came from and where are headed to.!!!!! BRILLIANT

  • My idea is that we should make a fund which people can put money, and with this money we buy land and plant trees on them ;) So you can save earth a little the more people help the more earth you save. And help poor countries with there agriculture because they're screwing up nature, because they don't know how to work there lands. But that's just my opinion:P. But I really like this song :)

  • what a voice this woman has!!! she's divine!

  • This song are nice to dream :3 I LOVE IT!! XD Nice Work XD

  • There's no word to tell how good this music...

  • Achingly beautiful song,,mankind has no respect for what has been given him to protect and use wisely. The ones who are the users will scream the loudest when this is all gone. So sad.

  • The earth is the Lords and the fulness thereof. We are his workmanship, steward of the land and Sky, the waters and all that are therein

  • Nature... My real mother! She constructs the long road wich is my life, and she let's me grow to be like those huge trees, that often protects me!

  • @FruityCoversLoops Everyday people are realizing that :)

The problem is that we have forgotten that She is our Mother, and we foolishly fight over nothing. We detonate massive bombs to wipe out our own race, all because we just "don't agree" with them.

    Brightest Blessings )O( :)

    - Bréinann

  • @celticbattleaxe Not all the people, unfortunatly...

But hey, I loved your comment you know?

  • @FruityCoversLoops Agreed - but there are too few of us that care. So many people are at war with each other over absolutely nothing, especially in the Middle East. Peace will only come when the whole race of humanity ceases war with each other and respects one another. It is s a shame that people act like such idiots, and clearly, "respect" or "peace" aren't in their vocabulary.

Everyday we construct new methods of human annihilation - to accomplish what? Power? Greed?

    - it is just hopeless

  • @celticbattleaxe Peace will come when humanity dissapears.

  • @FruityCoversLoops I hate to say it, but you are right.

    Blessed be )O(

    - Bréinann

  • @celticbattleaxe What it comes down to is a lack of respect for the animals, the earth, and each other. Native Americans would say a prayer for and thank an animal whenever they would kill it out of repect for giving up its life so that they can eat. Now we put animals in factory farms where they suffer until they die, no respect whatsoever. We also spray the farmlands with pesticides and plant with genetically modified seeds (GMOs). It's a wonder we are not able to respect each other.

  • @rpena728 Agreed. Natives would sometimes make an offering of pollen to the animal they killed, and they would use EVERY single part of it - nothing would be wasted. In the US, we are fat with luxuries and we throw away without ever thanking. All we do is eat more - we take and never give back; it's sad.

I wonder if our radical farming techniques have not dramatically increased our sensitivity to allergies, because back in the 50s, people didn't have them nearly as much as today.

  • @celticbattleaxe Yes current conventional farming techniques are definitely the reason people are overweight and dying of cancer at rapid rates, as well as food that has been chemically altered like high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors/flavors. I also only buy all natural and/or organic foods.

You are so lucky that you have a place big enough for a garden! I don't. I live in an apartment-like condo. :(

  • @rpena728 Indeed - I was tempted to make a stop at my town's annual farmers' market', but then I realized I was broke (oops). Good thing I grow plenty of veggies!

It does suck to be in an apartment, being away from the goodness of tilled Earth, but hey... a few pots and organic fertilized soil should do the trick!

  • @rpena728 The easiest veggies I know of that can grow almost anywhere are potatoes. I just hope Irene doesn't flood my area. In this case, you are the fortunate one. Yes, I live in a rural setting, but ... at the base of a hill :(. When tropical storm Floyd hit in '99, I had about 5 feet of water in my basement, and my mother only had 2 payments left of her car - it was washed away.

Anyway, as far as teas, Choice Organic is my favorite brand. I LOVE their Earl Grey an Irish Breakfast teas :)

  • @rpena728 This is one of the reasons why I never like eating anything that isn't 100% natural or organic. I don't care if I have to pay more - it's better than developing food allergies and other illnesses; it also tastes A LOT better. I grow 100% organic blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, corn, tomatoes, onions, apples (more for the friendly wood-chuck :) ), asparagus, squash, and potatoes in my garden for that same reason. It's sad that too many people are forgetting to thank the Earth.

  • Always remember that the blood that runs through our veins is not that of our own but is of a thousand ancestors before us the decisions that we make are not entirely of our own but are of our ancestors as well..I am Celtic blood of Scottish ancestry.

    Joseph Swiftraven Schropshier

  • @Ravenslove35 ALBA GU BRAGH!!

I am of the Gordon Highlander clan, the Irish McClain, and the Dempseys.

Our ancestors' blood runs in our veins and their spirit resides within me.

  • @celticbattleaxe I am of the Robertsons red on black and the blood is as strong in my veins as is in yours..though we may hail from seperate clanns we are still Kith and kin! Bright blessings Celticbattleaxe.

Beautifull I love this so much! Faving this one aswell!!! :D

  • Omg...

This is sooooo beautiful... Just for a moment, I was somewhere else... Away from this world... o.o

  • OMG I have this CD o:

  • reminds of Lord Of The Rings especially the elves and rivendell

  • very peaceful music :) <3

  • I love the celts and everything they believed in..... if only i was born back then >.>

  • is this Loreena Mckennitt?

  • Of all the Celtic music ive ever heard, this is the most beautiful.I just keep playing it over and over...listening to that ladies voice..omg...wonderful.

  • So celtic music always calms me down

  • i'm speechless........

  • 4 dumb press the wrong button

  • This is the work of Loreena McKennitt, one of my very favorite artists. Haunting words and melody.

  • Where words fail, MUSIC SPEAKS!!!!

  • this is no music anymore, this is magic, pure magic. im no spiritual person, i dont believe in something like a god or so, but i believe in the power of music. to me, music is the only true power.

  • Listening to one another might be a beginning. Better learn to listen to nature!

  • I believe the leaders we have chosen from each country have ruined the world. not caring for the lives of the people who put them in office. The American indians believe that the Mother earth will come back to them . she will be torn and ragged and so bruised but she will come back to be healed . and life that abused her will be gone. she will take many centurys to be healed . I am in Ireland and her beauty is here still because they dont abuse her .God Bless this world.and forgive us.

  • @simplesandy You don't inherit the earth from your ancestors, you borrow it from your children - Native American saying

  • There was never a time that we humans were all peaceful. We are beings of violence, hatred, jealousy and darkness. But we are also beings of serenity, love, compassion and brightness--this music is proof of that. We humans are both wonderful and terrible, and I believe that's what makes us beautiful.

  • This song fills my heart, makes me travel through worlds that do not exist! I can not be of this world when something as simple as melody makes me travel through the lands that exist only in my dreams

  • ...4 people are brain dead....

  • @misstressMoonlight 4 people broke the celtic circle

  • @misstressMoonlight or trolls :p

  • Loreena has such an amazing voice and a very deep and old soul, She is beautiful inside and out.

  • can't stop my tears...this song is showing me a great world...a better world....

  • @vollmondwolf01 I just posted this to my profile and said almost those exact words to accompany the link. How can you listen to this music and not re-examine all of the great things that the world has to offer? :)

  • That is just beautiful!

  • If anyone wants to know the song is by Loreena McKennitt.

  • it makes me want to grap a horse and ride to the gates of mordor =X

  • This a truly amazing song. It makes me want to dance, laugh and cry all at the same time! I could listen to this sort of music for forever!

  • im still cryin :) ...

  • <3

  • the fairy world, seems to me...calming,beautiful sounds, the voice is amazing,i didn't got the message yet,i'm not very good in english.but all together make a peacefull moisture for healing the inside hurts of anyone

  • I've been searching for this tipe of music for a long time and now that I've found it I'll never be able to listent to pop,R&B, ect again.

Thank you so much for bringing the missing part of me into view!!!

  • Bless all of you, today and always.

  • Why can't songs of now have this creativity and meaning? I mean I like some dance music but lot of the mainstream crud is plasic and cold as the singers that sing em.

  • @p3wnyAntony I wish this religion would life or philosphy

  • Is féidir an ceol beo mo dhaoine ar

  • I love these songs but she sings to loud:(

  • Proud to be Irish! XD Thumbs up if you're Irish!

  • @Addicted2Muzic94 Thumbs down because I'm Scottish :D

  • @TheXand19 Haha! XD Scottland is awesome too! LOVE YA!

  • @p3wnyAntony The Celts themselves had no written language. So sometimes it's hard to know exactly what they actually did themselves and what we made up since. I'm grateful for the stuff people have done, and this is beautiful music, but it's hard to know if this is actually "celtic" but I'm irish, and I'm proud to carry a Celtic last name.

  • @fenikslied I thought the celts had the Ogham script.

  • @gariadara That was just the Irish. and the earliest scripts were from 400 A.d. I was referring more to the music anyway. But I am a bit disappointed they never took the time to write down more about the druids. Most of our information on the Druids comes from outside sources.

  • @fenikslied From what little I understand about the druids, they were the Celt's upper class. .. but not necessarily preists, although preists were always druids, and not the other way around.

  • It doesn't really matter in what time we are born. We are the ones screwing up earth. We are using everything this beautiful planet gave us.. We lost the abillity of clear communication. If we would all listen to one another and we woulden't use weapons that destroy humans and everything around them, this whole world would be a better place in my eyes...

But that is just my opinion :)

    This is a beautiful song

  • @BgBreaker Yes because the ancient Celts were so terribly great at communication.

Although it must be said that plunging a sword into somebody before removing their skull for a trophy does have some merit as a means of communication.

As for the beauty of the earth and how we abuse it so do be sure to tell those dying of drought, pestilence, various natural disasters etc and the other joys of mother nature.

  • @TheXand19 I do think of that, but those are causes of nature that make some people die, not human weapons or what so ever. I must admit that the sword plunging in to a persons body also is a way of communication, take the samurai as example..

  • @TheXand19 I'd rather be killed by a natural disaster than some moron with a gun...

  • @Helcaloth You, Sir, have changed my view of death. Thank you.

    A proud iberian celt,

  • @BgBreaker True... we can wish hard we were born in another time and feel misplaced in this world due to its violence and confusion but all times were such. All people have always had a disdain for an enemy since the fall of man. But... we were created for such a time as this:) Peace comes through trust in the Lord, trust in people, and an extreme unexplainable love for those who shun us...

sounds crazy but I found it to be while difficult... it is true:)

And yes this truly is a beautiful song

  • @BgBreaker You opinion is something that a majority of people share. It is simply that everyone has an idea that they want to see tried. It is tough for everyone to be heard. The art of communication isn't lost it is just asleep so long as technology is involved. I meen you cannot see the expression on a persons face. It makes it less personal that way.

But I agree with you something needs to be done. An I think it will be America eventually that leads the way.

  • @BgBreaker i know... but alas we are under the 3rd heaven soo we are contaminated.. and we cant do anything about it but follow god for a true path..

  • @limpo100 3rd Heaven? You must be a Mormon?

  • @TheAmalaki no lol i dont rlly like to be labeled as a religion not cus of a big ego cus i dont have a big one but cus religion destroys people.. i just like to be called if anything a follower of the truth lol :3

  • @limpo100 Religion kills people but it have been a sort of column for people, with rules and hope... and somwhere maybe the search of the truth x)

  • @BgBreaker that may be your opinion, but it is an opinion shared by many. sadly, it does not seem to be shared by those who have the power to do anything about it. :(

  • @96chocoholic we all have the power to take the power away from the Corrupt and the Unjust. we just need be silent no longer

  • @BgBreaker my opinion is that we should just hurry up to destroy one another so the rest of the world could finally be at peace... or something. man we really mess up don't we? as long as humans remain human, we will continue to f--k up. easiest solution by far would be just to eradicate all humans. can't someone come up with like, a super plague that will end things quickly?

  • I'm 16, and I agree 120$

  • I'm from Montenegro ,and I hawe 1wish to se everiting about Skotish

  • i love technology but there are times i think that the ways of the past were the best! to live and die by the sword, fighting for what you believe in, chivalry and honor, ect.

not like today where you can be shot in the street for $5 and nobody will help you, backstabbing and your best friend runs off with your wife... tell me, what kind of "civilized" society is that?!

  • @captainvalor2196 I 100% agree with you

  • @captainvalor2196 Honor to you my friend.

  • @captainvalor2196

    its called a nightmare

what upsets me even more is the ignorance and arrogance

  • @captainvalor2196

Total agreement, i would rather be in a sword fight with a claymore, than have nothing better to do than waste my days away on a computer, and the one time i go out, get shot by some person i don't know

  • @DarkFarie111 lol good 1 mate i agree. hail

  • Come from my computer into my soul and embrace me. People say music is just some melody you hear, I say different. For it takes me to the world of dreams.

  • Le grá, dearmad ar do shinsir, dearmad riamh, tá an t-amhrán álainn!

an lá a bheidh le linn, Éire go deo !!!!!!!!! :)

  • I LIEK TO KILL TEH GOBLIN WIZARDS.

  • It sounds like Loreena McKennit singing.

  • @LoboKhan1 It is.

  • Who is the singer - it is beautiful - love it. Thanks for the video.

  • @scutecrone This is Loreena McKennitt.

  • no dream is dead if there is but one fool to fight for it.

  • @gsgaidan10

    EPIC WIN!!!! :D

  • i must find that album because i'm a fan on celtic folk music even its based on fantasy storys :)

  • Celtic music has a weird "magicial touch" to it.Never can get over it either!

  • @agentx114567 i think too :D

  • i listened to this song while slicing my skin open. i felt...weird as i saw my blood, my skin is a pale color so the deep red in contrast intimidated me. but now...i listen to this music and i cant help but think of that moment. the sharp contrast of the blood red and pale skin tone. but also..it calms me. soothes me in sleep. i feel alot better then i did

  • @ShadeTyr Faggot

  • @iwanttotrollyou Thanks for your opinion.

  • @ShadeTyr Are you for real tbh?

  • @iwanttotrollyou Keh. i see no reason to disagree with someones opinion when they are merely stating what they think.

  • @ShadeTyr Nah you're just weird and gay

  • @iwanttotrollyou as i said. thank you for your opinion. i do not see how being "gay" has much to do with my suicidal tendencies.

  • @ShadeTyr Just kill yourself now then you pussy, lol

  • @iwanttotrollyou -shrugs- i have no need to. not one person can order me. maybe if several people. but not one low person.

  • @ShadeTyr You're really retarded lol, fucking homo fag

  • @iwanttotrollyou Go back to 4chan, you can't troll for shit, loser.

  • @HeyDirtyDan Hey

    I liek 4chan

    Tis cool.

  • @iwanttotrollyou Like, really. Who stalks a single video just to see if someone replied to you? Get a fucking life.

  • @iwanttotrollyou once again. your opinion. but your opinion is worthless

  • i was mad beyond compare when i heard my best friend liked my girlfriend i wanted to kill someone but i listened to this song and now im more calm then ever

  • @angelwars12

that is the magic of music it sings through to our souls like nothing else.

its pouring outside as im listening to it. wow, can't describe that feeling. feel so calm.

  • Beautiful thanks!

  • cant some one else sing this song! The song is wonderful but her introductions are boring and her voice swirls around like a wispering scream in her sinuses.

  • man's greatest sin, i agree, is the destruction of such great works of art.

may i state that wallowing in mellancholy will never do.

such use of language will never die if there is but one fool to fight for it.

  • Epic.

  • altough i dont know good this culture. i feel a tie with the culture celtic and your music is nice

  • @moonshiry you need to have the bad to see the good. The idea of the YinYang illustrates that they new this over 2000 years ago

  • haha its my life long dream to migrate to ireland..

  • @Ydivan30 positive and negative are fundamental to life.... we need negativity.

  • @Zombsta oo thats interesting.. What are your thoughts on why we need negativity?

  • WHERE IS THE CELTIC LANGUAGE.FUCK BRITISH, KEEP ON FIGHTING. E.O.K.A CYPRUS

  • Wonderful Celtic music*♪*

  • Wonderful celtic music

  • Loreena McKennitt sings the hauntings of my soul.

  • Because the Celtic Music is simply the art of interpreting the messages of Mother Nature and Elemental Beings; and then take them to a score and be played and heard by who try understand the beautiful mysteries of life.

IS THE DIRECT CONECTION BETWEEN THE HUMAN BEING AND THE NATURE VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE.

I LOVE THIS CULTURE. THANKS FOR SO MUCH BEAUTY!

    GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA!!

  • Its good to see someone who actually understands celtic culture. Maybe you have alittle celt in you somewhere and you dont even know it.

  • While sea wind has been blowing from the top, able for reach to the forest and gently make the trees dance. While the rain bathe grasslands to become them in valleys. While strong Atlantic waves break against the higher cliffs, and seagulls furrow the sky so high; the Celtic Music fed our souls (...)

  • I must say.. all of you people are amazing. Its people like you who make this world a better place to live in. This music really does speak to the soul, and makes it fly to places we can only dream of (or if we're lucky to visit). =) Blessed be to all.

  • świetna muzyka!!! respect from Poland!
