Pit bulls are bread for taking down Bulls, they are designed to attack in pairs and can easily rip things to shreds in a hurry. For whatever reason - when they do go into fight mode their thinking gets a little blurry, I have seen a family pit with no priors turn into a monster after getting provoked. Normally a boot to the head and normal dogs aren't much threat but a pit can kill a human. My friends pit went nuts after he stopped it from finishing his little dog, then it turned on him.
What people dont understand is that any dog can attack. Pitbull were not bred to be fighting dogs, they were bred to be a family dog. Due to ignorant people this breed is the most misunderstood. If you heard about a lab attacking someone would you discriminate against that breed. I dont think so. Im sure moat of you have not even met a pit in your lives, so until you do everybody just needs to shut up!

By saying their baby was attacked is not a joke but when people watch this they can see how pits really are...great dogs. I work at an animal shelter and i've seen a lot of pits and all are friendly and their new owners say they are the best dogs. Some other dogs, however, are dog aggressive and sometimes bite the workers. Pits get such a bad rep that it really is painful to hear about all the wonderful pits sitting in shelters. I will be concerned for any stranger or dog that approach this kid with the pit around. I remember this incidence when i was around 6-7 years old, walking down this country road alone near our farm with our family's pack of pit ( around 5 members), then there was this stupid dog that got onto the path out of no where around 30 mm ahead , the pack chased it down and ripped it into pieces, i was horrified, no one was around, and i didn't tell anyone either. That incidence haunted me since.

As I watch the two calmly interacting for about 5 minutes, I look to the related videos and see the same person made another video with the same child and the same dog... If this pit is so bad why did they keep the dog and not euthanize it?
I feel you went about this the wrong way. The interaction between your child and the pitbull was less than decent. The dog was on several occasions poked and prodded by the toddler and honestly that is not the way you should let kids and dog interact. You should respect your dogs space and not allow your kid to grab at its face or climb on it. Every dog has a potential to bite, don't let the opportunity arise.
It doesn't matter if a Pitbull is raised a certain way it is bred to kill they have that urge inside them all the time, granted some have been very tame and haven't attacked anyone, but either way pitbulls get to a certain age and their skull cracks which does make the dog have a higher risk of attacking someone, but these dogs should deffinately NOT be around children

How dare you say these "horrible dogs" should be banned? I have had a pitbull for almost 3 years now and he is a complete sweetheart, much more playful, and much more friendly than my two labs. Pits only have the wrong reputation because of the way people treat them. They are amazing animals if treated correctly. Any type of dog could get that reputation if they are used for fighting.

Stop posting fake videos on Youtube, It's not right to ban these dogs from areas. Say you have to wear certain things, talk a certain way, drive a certain way, etc. & your city or town bans all the stuff listed above. You would feel like the world let you down. Pit bulls are bread for taking down Bulls, they are designed to attack in pairs and can easily rip things to shreds in a hurry. For whatever reason - when they do go into fight mode their thinking gets a little blurry, I have seen a family pit with no priors turn into a monster after getting provoked. Normally a boot to the head and normal dogs aren't much threat but a pit can kill a human. My friends pit went nuts after he stopped it from finishing his little dog, then it turned on him.

By saying their baby was attacked is not a joke but when people watch this they can see how pits really are...great dogs. I work at an animal shelter and i've seen a lot of pits and all are friendly and their new owners say they are the best dogs. I will be concerned for any stranger or dog that approach this kid with the pit around. I remember this incidence when i was around 6-7 years old, walking down this country road alone near our farm with our family's pack of pit ( around 5 members), then there was this stupid dog that got onto the path out of no where around 30 mm ahead , the pack chased it down and ripped it into pieces, i was horrified, no one was around, and i didn't tell anyone either. That incidence haunted me since.

IT IS THE PARENTS FAULT! i myself LOVE all living things, and have a syberian husky at the moment. i couldn't believe how many kids, WITH their parents, tried running up to my dog without even asking. animals are scared by fast movements. and parents need to teach their kids NOT TO GO UP TO ANY ANIMAL WITHOUT ASKING THE ANIMALS OWNER IF THEY CAN! and kids beat on animals and hurt them (not on purpose) which obv will cause reaction.

ALL animals are the only innocent souls on this earth. ppl always are surprised to get attacked by an animal, and then the animal dies for doing what is NATURE to them! it makes me sick to think of how many animals (wild&domestic) are beaten and killed everyday because of "attacks". if a human wants to be around or have ANY KIND of animal, then you need to remember that an attack is ALWAYS possible. the worst are kids. many dogs get put down for "attacking"

I feel you went about this the wrong way. The interaction between your child and the pitbull was less than decent. The dog was on several occasions poked and prodded by the toddler and honestly that is not the way you should let kids and dog interact. You should respect your dogs space and not allow your kid to grab at its face or climb on it. Every dog has a potential to bite, don't let the opportunity arise.

It doesn't matter if a Pitbull is raised a certain way it is bred to kill they have that urge inside them all the time, granted some have been very tame and haven't attacked anyone, but either way pitbulls get to a certain age and their skull cracks which does make the dog have a higher risk of attacking someone, but these dogs should deffinately NOT be around children

I have blue nose, red nose and pink nose pups.and there parents are older and yet to attack someone. i have a 1 year old baby in the house and she loves them. of course i sit around her and watch her play with the dog i wouldnt leave her alone but i would do the same with any dog! its all about how you teach them when they are puppies.and another thing is my dogs love to cuddle and relax. violet right..

This is complete bullshit. Pitbulls are great dogs, they are just terribly misunderstood and mistreated. They only become vicious and violent because they are raised that way and are treated badly. And any dog can be vicious and violent but they are made that way, not born that way.

How dare you say these "horrible dogs" should be banned? I have had a pitbull for almost 3 years now and he is a complete sweetheart, much more playful, and much more friendly than my two labs. Pits only have the wrong reputation because of the way people treat them. They are amazing animals if treated correctly. Any type of dog could get that reputation if they are used for fighting.

The dog just wanted it's food.
Know my dad's friend has they have to pitbull's and 10 puppy's and there little boy pick's the puppy's up all the time and nother happend's the mom dont care so i dont see what is so bad about them nothing.
They may have there bad time's but i hate it when people say they are bad animals to have around any one of kid's.

Stop posting fake videos on Youtube, It's not right to ban these dogs from areas. Say you have to wear certain things, talk a certain way, drive a certain way, etc. & your city or town bans all the stuff listed above. You would feel like the world let you down.
