such a awesome movie! Anton Chiguaruh or however u spell his last name, gota be one of the best characters of all time. And Josh brolin held his own as well! Such a great movie!
this psychopatic guy was for me the symbol of freedom; he do what he wants to do in his life and don't care about others opinions; what do you think about?
@pieprzycZielonych It may appear so, but it turns out in the book that he was tracking down that money to impress a potential employer. I guess that still qualifies as a self-serving action, but even the bad guy works for someone.

number one reason this movie was not good:
The ending is too open ended. We don't see a final show down between Moss and Chigurh. Moss is just suddenly dead in the swimming pool. This spawned so many explanations on the internet but you can't really trust any of them because they are so different.
Number two reason this movie was not good: I wanted to see tommy lee jones kick some a*s .... and he didn't
Yeah, it kind of leaves you with that icky, unsettling feeling. Awesome flick! Much better than The Departed, in my opinion.
I actually couldn't stop laughing when Leonardo DiCaprio was killed in that movie. Big belly laughs! I mean, don't get me wrong, I wasn't HAPPY that he died, but it was just so sudden and spontaneous, it was kinda funny.
The thing about the Departed was that there was only 5 minutes left of the film so it didn't ruin it. IMO if Moss was gonna die in this they should've at least left it til the end. I was bored the last 20 minutes cos the main character got shot. They should've ended it like the sopranos. Wot u think?
I haven't read the book, but I've heard that the movie follows it practically spot-on, so I can't really fault the screenwriter for wanting to stay true to the book.
It would have been nice if he and Chigurgh had an epic battle at the end of the movie though :/
yea it scared me at first then i started laughing even harder when matt damon popped that other dude. I knew Mark Whalburg was gonna fuck some1 in the end, he was too much of a prick throughout the whole movie to not do something badass.

For me, the movie ran out of gas after Josh Brolin's character died. One fatal flaw I noticed in terms of historical accuracy is the sherrif's Chevrolet Caprice police car. It's at least circa 1986-1989 yet the date of the mother's death on the headstone was 1980. Oops.
Unusual for a thriller, the Coens worked against Hollywood convention and minimized the score used in the film, leaving large sections devoid of music. The concept was Ethan's who persuaded a skeptical Joel to go with that idea.
man, real talk, shawty, i had a nightmare about this dude this morning. this has become one of my favorite movies, on the real. man, if Jaws was a human, it would be this cat right here, cuz. you don't know anything about him except he has a job and thats to kill anybody in his way of doing that job. seriously, after it went off, i watched again 2 more times. bomb ass movie.
no, fargo is a totally different movie and book. but from what everybody is telling me, this movie was bascially one of the few movies in history to be damn near 100% close to being the same as the book.
The book has the same title as the movie as well as the same plot. However, it is (of course) more detailed and there is a significant increase in the role of every single character seen in the movie. I don't like reading at all, but this book made we want to read. It was fantastic!
This movie was crazy. I expected it to be one of the times when they make a crap movie out of a cool book, but it was a great movie with serious tension. The creepy thing about chigurh is that he's not that scary by appearance, its his character that makes him really fucking spooky.
Yeah man the prince valient-esque hairdo made him look more unhinged whenever he was about to kill someone. The wacky thing was we got pulled over after seeing this movie and i leaned over to my friend aidan and said in that cool voice "i need you to step out of the car sir"
Ok...Anton Chigurh is quite possibly the creepiest, scariest human character(if you can reffer to THAT as human) that I have ever seen on film. Javier definitely deserves a lot of praise for his work. All the other characters in the movie are good as well, but they are just pale by comparion with this freak.Awesome movie
Anton Chigurh is an excellent character. It's often a difficult jump from book to film, and it's amazing how much gravity something as simple as a haircut lent to Bardem. I encourage anyone who hasn't to read more of Mccarthy's work, especially "Blood Meridian," and compare Chigurh with "The Judge." He was truly frightening as well.
geez i LOVE trailers so much. I'd say more than 50% of those shots are taken COMPLETELY out of context. Not just in the sense that they literally are, but also that they do not represent the actual scenes from which they are taken really AT ALL.
Oh man, of all the things to say that are amazing about this movie you chose Woody. Oh boy..... When I finished watchin the movie I said "All the actors did a phenomanol job, except for Woody, he was just good."
How the fuck did this movie won academy award for best picture is beyond me.

could someone pass the titttle?

The music is by Carter Burwell. He has done the music on many Coen brother's movies.

You realize they never played any music through out the entire film and it still got the mood going? Great movie!

lol yer, the best quote in the film i think, is the bit where hes taalking to carson wills, and its like.
