Coming from a purist, I prefer OEM but I like the wheels and mods on this car which look great. The stock wheels on the GTO were too small (14 x 6 Rally II) .. They're also functionally undersized .. just driving a GTO will convince you that wheelspin is excessive, and these cars need more grip on the pavement. GM made a bigger and fatter 15 x 7 rally II wheel that looks nicer, and fills the wheel wells nicely.

Why not just keep JUST Pontiac GTO? GM does not have to offer a complete 'family' of Pontiac cars. Why not just develop the GTO? It can be sold together with Buick or Chevrolet or some other brand. If you bury GTO, you bury a piece of America's soul! I'm convinced that cars like Ford Mustang and Pontiac GTO also have fans in the future - love the history - and are dedicated to those cars. Don't forget your history!

Had a buddy with a 68 "Goat" . We were out cruising one day when some guys jumped out in front of us flagging us down. Their car had broken down on the way to his wedding. We got him there in plenty of time. I'll never forget that ride!

The profile of the 1968-70 was completely different from the '64-'67 before them. I call them the "old" goats as opposed to the "new" goats. Both are extremely killer body styles in their own ways. The "older" harkens back to the early days and the "new" ushers in a new era. The '71 and '72 were fading examples of the late '60's and by '73, the GTO had devolved into an accessory/trim car. The engine was so detuned it wasn't a serious muscle car. The new one is a joke. These cars are classics.
The new one is a joke that will kick any old GTO's ass stock for stock anyday. Come on buddy the original first GTO was exactly everything the new one is and we all know it. Kick ass motor in a very understated body. Sounds like a GTO in my book. Not to mention that's what the original formula was for old muscle cars. Performance first, looks secondary.
the performance of the ''old ones'' was descent and the looks were just magnificent. i've had a '66, 68 and '67 in that order. all were bone stock with auto trannys. that gold '66 i had with a 389 was the best looking of the three and the one i was most attached to. but at the same time, it probably would have turned in the worst - highest - e.t. it was probably a full second or two slower than the new one. but the new one wouldn't turn heads like mine did.
The car looks great (i prefer the classic way but this paint job is very cool!!!), but that wheels, really dont like me, this kind of rims destroy the line of the car, so i prefer an american racing or a cragar 15¨, or may be the best option the original wheels, this monsters has a really good wheels, magnun 500 (im not sure of that o forget it XD) so, im not the owner, if the owner like the car really no is my problem is only a opinion XD.

Im not a fan of the rims either, but the brake upgrades were great! Drum brakes suck dude... seriously. 5 speed is not gay at all, itll make it drive sooo much better and improve gas mileage and lower engine wear. A 3 speed might be good for drag, but as he said, he wants to keep it a street car.
I would have gone with 17 or 18in rims, but other then that I think the car is wonderful!
hydro boost is what you can use for power brakes instead of a booster. booster works off vacuum but hydro boost works off of the power steering pressure to increase the pedal pressure. available in jegs mags and summit. or you can run a vacuum canister for alot less.

I'm conflicted here. I love ProTouring, but I think it should be limited to "plane janes" not RS/SSs, COPOs, and certainly not GTO Judges.

The profile of the 1968-70 was completely different from the '64-'67 before them. I call them the "old" goats as opposed to the "new" goats. Both are extremely killer body styles in their own ways. The "older" harkens back to the early days and the "new" ushers in a new era. The '71 and '72 were fading examples of the late '60's and by '73, the GTO had devolved into an accessory/trim car. The engine was so detuned it wasn't a serious muscle car. The new one is a joke. These cars are classics.

The new one is a joke that will kick any old GTO's ass stock for stock anyday. Come on buddy the original first GTO was exactly everything the new one is and we all know it. Kick ass motor in a very understated body. Sounds like a GTO in my book. Not to mention that's what the original formula was for old muscle cars. Performance first, looks secondary.

the performance of the ''old ones'' was descent and the looks were just magnificent. i've had a '66, 68 and '67 in that order. all were bone stock with auto trannys. that gold '66 i had with a 389 was the best looking of the three and the one i was most attached to. but at the same time, it probably would have turned in the worst - highest - e.t. it was probably a full second or two slower than the new one. but the new one wouldn't turn heads like mine did.

The car looks great (i prefer the classic way but this paint job is very cool!!!), but that wheels, really dont like me, this kind of rims destroy the line of the car, so i prefer an american racing or a cragar 15¨, or may be the best option the original wheels, this monsters has a really good wheels, magnun 500 (im not sure of that o forget it XD) so, im not the owner, if the owner like the car really no is my problem is only a opinion XD.

Im not a fan of the rims either, but the brake upgrades were great! Drum brakes suck dude... seriously. 5 speed is not gay at all, itll make it drive sooo much better and improve gas mileage and lower engine wear. A 3 speed might be good for drag, but as he said, he wants to keep it a street car.
I would have gone with 17 or 18in rims, but other then that I think the car is wonderful!

hydro boost is what you can use for power brakes instead of a booster. booster works off vacuum but hydro boost works off of the power steering pressure to increase the pedal pressure. available in jegs mags and summit. or you can run a vacuum canister for alot less.
