Thanks a million Nicko! This was the best cake I have ever made and it was very simple per ur instructions. I always tried but they never came out right. I enjoy your channel and will continue to look forward for more exciting recipes. Thanks again..... Caroline
@TheSpeaknoevil ur absolutely right. im a filipino in singapore and when i pronounced in like fla u r, they stared at me like i was weird or something
• Singaporeans pronounce flour as /flɑ:/ instead of /flaʊ-ə/. The dictionary says that both American and British pronunciation is /flaʊ-ə/.
Singaporean teachers pronounce and teach their pupils to pronounce flour as / flɑ:/. And in an oral examination, if this word appears in the reading passage, the pupils who pronounce it correctly are penalised.
I'd like native speakers from England, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to reply to prove me right.
i am planning to start however i dont have an oven can i do this using a mcirowave? if yes wat wud be the temperature and how long will it take to bake please do let me know am looking forward to making this
Hi!! Lovely recipe! I just wanted to suggest that maybe the cake could have an extra cinnamon flavour if we boiled the milk with some stick cinnamon and let it cold before add the milk to the mixture. What do you think??
Can you give measurements on all your ingredients and also oven temp in fahrenheit? We goofy Americans have trouble with that temp thing? Love all your recipes mate! Keep them coming!
I made this and it is very delicious, however I used unsalted butter and I noticed it was just a bit bland. Do you use salted butter? I know some cakes dont have salt. I didnt have the spring pan or the brush, but a regular cake pan and spoon did the trick. I also see your cake looks a little flatter, I had to use the 2 tsp of baking powder in place of the self rising flour. If I back off the baking powder a bit will that work? Great cake! Thanks
Yes I second red velvet!!!! I've always been to scared to make it, I think it's because I haven't found a reliable recipe with aust ing and measurements...
Really cool tip on spinning the cake!! I never use round cake pans because I don't like the way they pop up in the middle.Now I can! I The vanilla you used looked really thick?! I am for sure trying this one. Thanks.
Simple but lovely................was wondering Nicko, do you have any recipes of chicken cooked in a plain cream based sauce? I know you must have, because you seem to know every calorie laden recipe there is. lol.
love the recipe big fan of yours.thanks again

ilovekandii214 1 year ago
@ilovekandii214 i dont know what you want it converted to, just google for a conversion you need :)
robjnixon 1 year ago
@ilovekandii214
My cookbook says that 2 tablespoons of butter is approximately 30g. So, 180g is approx. 3/4 cup, since there're 4 tablespoons to 1/4 cup.
