  • They are probably acting that way when they drink milk because the HUGE majority, between 85-90%, of Japanese are lactose intolerant.

  • @masanf Lactose intolerance has nothing to do with disliking the taste. You can love milk but can't drink it due to lactose intolerance (your system not being able to process it) Lactose intolerance means your body rejects all milk products ... and Mini Moni members love ice cream(favorite treat to consume during breaks) ... especially Tsuji-san who once ate three eightlevel ice cream cones in one day.

  • Haha did they have to drink rotten milk???

  • @ShugoxMelody It is not rotten. Japanese overpastureize their milk ... leaving it bland with a funny smell. If you could taste american milk iof the 50s before government "standardization" you'd think today's american milk is bad tasting as well. There is one Japanese dairy that legaly does not pastureize at all ... the milk is prized for it's taste ... but also is expensive. .... It is still funny watching Mini Moni drink the milk....

  • @kenlo77 Oh I get it thxx for explaining ^^

  • milk and dairy products aren't a very important food group in Asia, actually they're way too important in the Western world, dairy products aren't adapted to humans and aren't that necessary for a healthy diet

  • in japan, the milk flavor is stronger for a reason that i don't know...

  • HAHAHA

  • I love how Mika is the only one who'll drink milk

  • Lol. They aren't really seeling the mini moni milk so well. o3o''

    TSUGI-CHAN DESU. 1:00

  • Do they like not like milk or something?

  • Oh God! That is so funny @2:23 .... Mari-chan hanging her head, thinking ... oh no ... I'm next! LOL I guess the Japanese over-pastureize their milk. In response, there is a Japanese farmer who managed to produce safe milk without pastuerization. The Japanese who tried it said it tasted totally different, and tastes good, without the bad smell. Very expensive though.

  • Was what they were drinking some nasty tasting substance or something? They seemed like they didn't want to even sniff the stuff {{LMAO}} :-P

  • Can anyone clue me in on the milk thing?

  • @RG7621 milk is stronger in japan because of the pasteurization process there (heated to very high temperatures for a long time). there are a few people that really don't like the taste.

  • i dislike milk too and luckily im allergic to it ..well luckily.. i cant eat chocolate too.. not too much and no ice cream T_T

though asian milk is different from european

    yaguchi's eyes are huge :D

  • mari at 2:58 was so adorable

  • Japanese milk is sweet... But I know Aibon doesn't like milk. I didn't know if the others disliked milk as well. Maybe that's why they're short. :P

  • @Pikangie Its Aibon and Mari that hates milk

  • wtf is wrong with you?

    mika is so beautifull

  • Yes ... Aibon, Nono and Yaguchi-san are cute and adorable ... but Mika is a very pretty girl. a classic beauty ... and beautiful inside also.

  • Mika is SUPER CUTE! And she's technically not American because Americans are considered 'white' and Mika isn't white.

  • @TheSubarashiiProject she is hawaiin

  • ..Obviosly. Who doesn't know that Mika is Hawaiian..?

  • I'm Japanese. And ugh, to me, milk has this richness that I hate.

  • OMIGOD!!! Look at her ankle at 1:51 it just rolls!!!

  • What's up with hello! project girls and milk?

    what is wrong with it?

  • Asian have a crazy high percentage of their population that is lactose intolerant, isint it like 70% ?

  • @cockroachafro that totally explains them being so short!XDD

  • @cockroachafro

It's waaaaay higher than that. Several Asian countries have lactose intolerance rates of 95% or greater.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:49 is the most intelligent face ever, but at 1:47 I almost shit my pants.

  • I love milk but I mustn´t drink it :((

  • Wow ... the closeup of Mari at the end .... sooooo cute! What a doll she is.

  • Mari is like ... Do I really have to drink this awful stuff?

  • check out 2:20 ... Mari in the background oh no ... I'm next to drink this ... What is with Japanese milk? They can't stand the smell even.

  • Japanese milk has much higher fat content and is ultra-pasteurized, so it has a very rich but sterile taste.

  • @Celedam and it is a lot sweeter too

  • what's up with the milk ?

  • they are probbly showing kids that they should drink their milk ^^

the song is for lil kids by the way x3

  • After watching Mini Moni making faces ... kids won't want to get near milk.

  • But Yaguchi, Tsuji and Aibon really hate milk!

  • really ?! i knew mari hated milk but not nono and aibon

  • haha yeah really

  • Japanese milk has a more different taste then American Milk.

  • Yeah ... they need some Bosco ... :)

  • for those unfamiliar ... Bosco is a chocolate syrup you add to milk

  • so cute !!!

  • it´s something wrong with that milk?

  • most asian's dislikes milk..^^

  • That would explain what that Japanese history book meant when it said "Americans are odd, they eat Cow and drink dairy".

I can see why they would have a fear of it, the thought of sucking on a Cows tits does seem a little strange hahaha

  • rabbits go pyon! and cats go nya~

  • 1:53 LOL!!!

  • milk = gross!!!!!!

  • mari is the cutest!

  • hehe, Mari doesn't like milk but she has to drink it xD

  • what's wrong with the milk!??!

  • I think it's not filtred, it comes directly from the cow, and it taste really bad!

  • aw..ew...why dont they just give them normal milk? they don't HAVE to give them that.

  • yeah, I know, but what I´ve heard, they don't have regular milk in Japan.. they don't drink milk that much as americans or swedish (I'm from Sweden). :P

  • then i guess most japanese people hate milk 3:

  • i don't like milk :D

  • "regular" milk IS straight from the cow and most of the time will not hurt you. :-p

And actually some people swear by its health benefits.

  • what is Pyon means?

  • i think it means hopping or skipping

  • @kittenbut1 it means boing because they are like, alien rabbits or something like that

  • @popnoyt1 oh, yeah you're right. Well hopping or skipping makes boing sounds :D

  • Yes ... that is the whole point ... there was a fad among Japanese kids to add pyon to every sentence ... (pyon to the Japanese is the sound of hopping like a rabbit) It sounds silly ... but it is kids. Mini Moni played to this fad

  • "Pyon!" = "Boing!"

They say it because they're supposed to be bunny-aliens. "Let's have fun, boing!"

  • And of course they wouldn't make them drink rotten milk.

  • So they don't drink milk alot in japan? I think its kinda interesting. They think milk taste bad but most people in America think Sushi (raw fish) taste bad.

  • i think it's hilarious how everoyne thinks it's rotten milk. i think its just they usually don't drink it, and it tastes very rich and disgusting when you are not used to it. trust me I would know lol

  • Heheh ^^U

That was cute when she drank the rotten milk... icky!!

It must have been so EMBARASSING when they messed up XD

  • The milk wasn't rotten, it was ordinary milk.

  • bwhahah !omg it looked like she was about to cry! ahaha how cuute! ...=~= ughhh rotten milk

  • que padrisimo video que da mucha risa jaja

  • jajaja, que chistoso este video, aibon eres la mejor, aibon u are the best!!!

  • where did you get this?,they look so kawaii hmm japanese milk probably something else i wont like besides seafood X( i get an alergic reaction on my throat that closes my airway and cant let me breath...souda i hate it;strange the only thing i can eat is fish

  • I am also allergic to shellfish. I used to be able to eat it, but I developed an allergy to it. It is the iodine in shellfish that causes the reaction.

  • poison i say,one time one friend of mine gave me imitation king crab without telling me what it was although i new it allready (i recognized the red and white)he told me it wasn't gonna hurt me that its not king crab, bastard,in a minute i couldn't breath when he saw me he says my throat was huge and gave me juice and advil yeah i wanted to kill him but decided to forgive him;what can i explain to the cops he knowingly fed me something that can kill me we're still friends though

  • LOL...I'm also allergic to advil. One time I went to the hospital emergency room (I forget what for). When checking in they ask if you have any allergies, I told them shellfish and advil. When the doctor came in to see me I also told her what my allergies were. After the doctor does her thing she leaves then the nurse comes back and gives me some pills to take. I took them without thinking and guess what...ADVIL.

Needless to say it wasn't a pleasant, but my lawyer had a field day though.

  • Why does Mari hate milk?

  • because the milk in japan tastes so horrble cause they dont put any thing in it to take the taste out of it. It just comes from the cow it's not filterd or anything.

  • lmao mari hates milk xD they didn't have to give them real milk

  • the girl who is on the very right is like....out of place. right?

  • Mika Todd is not out of place, she is just technically american because she came from Hawaii. They always dress her like she's fat or something because the other girls are like sticks. It sucks....

  • oh. ok . sorry.

  • @Iammine Haha but then Aibon got fat. Hehe jk. I <3 Aibon! But Tsuji was my fav.

  • @Iammine

Technically American? What the hell does that mean?

  • Technically it's because she's 150 cm tall, but it's mostly because she's an American who's half Japanese.

  • i <3 their "gadjets"

  • I love Japanese culture, milk is like kryptonite...lol.

  • muy muy bueno me encata

  • 2:36 xD yaguchi XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • yaguchi-san is ALWAYS like that XD

  • kago ai!!! kawaii !!

  • i love this ! :'DDDD

  • How the hell did Mari manage to twist her foot like that? Haha, poor girl.

  • If they're lactose intolerant that's messed up making them drink milk LOL

  • they are not allergic to milk!!

  • y don't they like thhat white stuff?

  • its because mika is the only one that likes milk and the white stuff is milk

  • it's milk, and in japan, milk is untainted...it is straight from the cow....gross..

  • wow...how did you know that?

but how about the bacteria and stuff?

  • i knew it cuz i am trying to learn everything about japan and the morning musume stars...and the bscteria isn't that harmful...it just tastes terrible...

  • eeeh?then why don't they sterilize it orso???

  • i don't know

  • :P okay

  • You can buy it sterilized as well. They have the same milk available there as we do here, the milk they were drinking had probably gone bad on the set.

  • i:56 kago-chan's expression ^^

  • aaa so cool..

    I love mini moni.

I love their contacts! does anyone know where I can get ones that make my eyes look big and shiny like that?

    x

  • its not contacts u just like open ur eyes wide or use mascara and they like this pick thing they use to open the eyelid and stuff glues it open last 4 hrs

  • what are you taliking about?

  • i also hate plain milk O_O

  • Incrível!!!

  • aibon hates milk 2

  • how cool are these girls!!!!!

  • ummh, i've heard that aibon is gonna be a pornstar ? ! it's on hello!online..

  • They never said that. It's a rumor that she MIGHT be posing nude. But they also said it could mean a bunch of other things.

  • Does Aibon joined another band?? Are you sure?

    <3

  • True;) they are not familiar with the milk taste.. The most of them think it's disgusting.. nonoChan<3 And to answer your question yoyotah: There won't be any comeback for W.. Because Aibon have resigned her H!P contract:( But for all the Aibon fans out there, there's a big new: She have joined another band<3 so we hasn't seen the last of Kago:D

  • she didn't resigned. she got fired for smoking under age.

  • Actually she was merely suspended for smoking underage, she resigned because she was caught in a hotel room with a much older, married man. Oh those Moni girls, will they ever learn???

  • aww mari fell over!!

  • what was wrong with the milk

  • I love Nono <3

But do you still believe they can come back someday?

Aibon :''( i miss her very muuch

  • Nono and Aibon are soo cute!!!

  • No....Aibon's been fired forever. :( *cry* But apparently another record label's picked her up....donno.

How cute. No, apparently many Japanese detest milk XD Not enough calcium!!

  • mika***

  • is maika the girl in all red with curly hair?

  • Drink it Mari, you need it to grow up! :)

  • lol

  • i think mika is the best out of the bunch! =]

  • yeah, i like her but Ai is my favorite! ^^

  • Mika always seems like such an outcast when with Nono, Aibon and Mari. x_x; She's my favorite out of Mini Moni, too.

  • Love this and I HATE MILK ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

By the way did you guy's know Aibon is coming back to Hello!Project cool eh!

  • They don't like milk? :D

  • no... my mom once told me that the japanese don't like milk! hmmmm... strange,ne?

  • Not all of them.

    Example: Me

  • they just couldn't pretend?

  • the milk is not spoiled, but they made it extra sour to make it taste like its spoiled... mostly to spread the message that mini moni is short because they hate to drink milk.

  • Isn't that... isn't that child abuse?

  • Have you ever thought that maybe it just runs in your family, and not in an entire race of people just because your family happens to be Japanese and lactose intolerant? It is a hereditary disease. If all Japanese people were lactose intolerant, they wouldn't have been so cruel as to make them drink milk in this video, and for that matter, there would be no milk in Japan at all. Use that noodle, sweetie.

  • Okay. I will.

    -_-

  • Actually, the whole lactose intolerate thing is pretty interesting. Many people develop an "allergy" to dairy at about 10 years of age, sometimes sooner. You see, the concentration of the enzyme that's responsible for breaking down (or cleaving) lactose--called lactase--tends to decline; and that decline can be loosely applied to the area of the world in you're in, if only because that's how generations and generations of people have lived before you.

  • People of northern European descent indeed usually have the lowest incidence of the population developing a milk allergy (less than 10% will have any noticable unfavorable reaction).

  • And indeed, the likelihood of being lactose intolerant if you're of Asian descent rises to roughly 91%. Native Americans have a 100% lactose intolerant population (there will, of course always be exceptions--so I don't want to see a message from someone who claims to be 1/16th Cherokee and enjoys three glasses of milk a day or something).

  • Indeed, the percentage of people that have some degree of a milk allergy may be as high as 60-70% worldwide. So making a general statement like "all Japanese people are lactose intolerant" is in fact closer to the truth than "no Japanese people are lactose intolerant."

  • and making a general statement like "you are stupid" is in fact closer to the truth than "you are intelligent", because there are more dumb people than intelligent ones

    amirite?

  • none of the mini moni members like milk... kind of makes sense how short they are now doesnt it?

  • NOTE TO SELF: When in Japan, do not drink the milk! hahaha

  • Why did you disable the embed?

  • KAWAII AND HELARIOUS! GO MIKA!

  • why do they always make them drink that gross milk? is it spoiled?

  • Well, I know Yaguchi hates milk. heh, guess that's why she's short, lol.

  • Remember that beef and dairy products are somewhat rare in the typical Japanese diet. When you're raised on fish, chicken, rice, soybeans, pickles, noodles, etc., it's not hard to imagine that whole milk would seem disgusting.

  • Actually, Milk tastes weird in japan. I love milk but when I was in japan it tasted kinda off to me. Most kids in japan don't like it either. I think it has something to do with the high humidity over there or something.

  • HAHAHA!finally a front view of Mari's infamous fall

  • adorable !

  • FUNNY!!!!!!!! and cute! wat a great combination!

  • They still are, they're just dispersed among Hello! Project.

  • weren't they adoreable
