@pantelos96 No, it's not HD, but we had a stereo mic rig in the car and at the roadside. Lately YouTube audio has had digital breakup on our end. I hope it's not messing up for you. These cars are made to be driven, and the engine/mechanical sound is half the fun. A 1927 Bugatti we raced around at Pebble Beach sounds like a symphony at full throttle.
@EarthAdvocate i am a fan of bugatti... at facebook i have put bugatti instead of my last name and bugatti specially veyron ss is a car to be loved.... it is the car of my dreams....!! and why this ferrari cost so much??? it doesn't have something so expensive on it..... :P
There is something wrong with the front bumper. It is hanging down on the left side of the car. Although my Ferrari is worth much less than a California Spyder, I think I still would rather have mine.
@JAG312 I took a look at your channel, and if you have a Dino 246, then i would not only say it was more worth what it costs than this car, but also far, far more beautiful.
The Dino is my favourite car, by a long way. My father owned 3 of them in the 70s, and i have never forgiven him for selling them. He had a very rare Dino at one point, i think there are only around 200 or so left now of that particular type. He really should've kept hold of that one!
@Discofreestyle Besides my 246, I also have a Jaguar C-type and a Jaguar XK120SE. Enzo Ferrari considered the 246 to be one of his favorite cars, and Pininfarina considered it one of their most beautiful designs. I have always wondered what Zagato would have designed for the 246.
I will happily supply you with a 2X4 made of the wood of your choice to beat your father over the head. He should have saved at least one Dino for you.
@Discofreestyle The Dino, too, is one of my favorites- in fact the first Ferrari I rode in at 120mph+. The 250GTs are fetching stupid money, but they sure sound, smell, ride sweet. To each his own. Vive La Difference!
Hallo, better use good synthetic quality 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix,
to prevent engine wear and damage and fuel system corrosion using todays hyper aggressive dry eco fuels that comtain 10% alcohol.
Modern petrols are not good for the vintage enginematerials, so the two stroke oil prevents your carbs and tank and the upper cylinder parts from all that corrossive influences caused by the actual eco fuel.
Want some production figures of other Ferrari convertibles?
342 America: 3
250 Europa: 1
375 America: 1
365 California: 14
365 GTS: 20
275 GTS / NART: 10
410 Superamerica: 1
400 Superamerica: 11
These models are true rarities, yet they don't sell for millions (exception: NART Spider). So what makes the Cali so expensive? Sure, it's beautiful but so are many other Ferrari models of the 60's. Must be the name California, because the 250 GT PF sells for much less and is a virtual twin...
When i saw it for the first time didnt even knew its a Ferrari and that rare, didnt even know there are cars für so many milions, but when i saw this car, i truly thought, yes this must be some milions worth. And i can truly understand people paying 5 milion or more for it
The one in the video is a LWB version, the first one. The one auctioned by around $10 million was James Coburn's SWB version, maybe from 1961. The SWB is a little bit prettier, but they are both wonderful cars! You can distinguish the SWB from the LWB in a very easy way: look at the side of the vehicle, behind the front train and count those chrome air cooling "blades". The LWB has 4 of these, and the SWB has three. But there are much more differences.
i disagree think new cars are better but yeah classics do have better sounds well it depends on what your talking about like muscle cars yes have nice sounds but sill i thing new cars are better over all
see how much it rolls round that corner and its going pretty slowly lol. Its amazing just how bad those old cars were/are. Cant beat them for looks and sound though. I would have this california rather then the new one they just braught out.
Thanks for watching and commenting- keep in mind that the footage is slowed down dramatically, while the car was in fact going through that turn at Spanish Bay at 50-60mph. sound is a montage; we wanted to share that fantastic engine tone with everyone, but just know that there was a nice subtle squeal on those tires as the car went through the turn. So, yes, a bit of roll, but total control! Thanks again.
the sound is hd??

You could get a NART Spider and a Daytona Spider for the same price. Overpriced as shit.

I'd shell my money (if I had it) just for the looks AND gorgeous small-displacement V12 sound this car makes. Whoa!
Who cares about safety, reliability, practicality or dolphins when you drive a Ferrari, anyway?
