  • is it a powerpc??

  • Isnt for Windows only Intel?

  • Well it looked as if they were running it from an emulator, until I saw the speeds it ran at. Then I knew it must have been an intel mac. Windows is not only intel, it can also run on AMD.

  • I ment you have to have intel in a mac to run windows.

  • looks like the oldest version of windows

  • Does it heck. It looks like XP with Windows Classic theme, which is like Windows 95- which is no where near the oldest version of Windows.

    Get your facts right, noob.

  • it is

  • hmm sounds to me like the oldest version of windows that you remember is either 95 or 98. the olderst version of windows is 1.0 which came out in the mid-80's before i even HEARD of windows. for most ppl the earliest version of windows for them is 3.0 or 3.1. but yes the dumb person who commented the same thing 4 times is right. it's xp with the classic theme, probably used so things would load faster.

  • What was the point of this?

  • vmware i s better than parallels

  • ahm that red cross in xp dosnt mean spyware ?!

  • it means there's no active protection on (antivirus, firewall)

  • ops, didn't see the other one... don't know

  • Also you seem like a person that likes to be limited. I, along with other pc users prefer the freedom of choice. I enjoy the fact that I can build a totally Boss gaming rig for my self, and a nice practicle office PC for my wife. I also like that I can swap out hardware for better hardware and not have to buy a new computer. And the only reason why it appear Mac's have better software is because you only have a fraction of what PC's have. We have choice, you don't.

  • I've been able to change out my Mac's hd without any issues on all of Mac's I've owned. It is also possible to upgrade a Mac, if you know where to look and. At the same time I have a Mac Mini running Solaris, Linux, Novell Netware and Win 3.1 - Why you might ask because I can, though I do use it these for my job. Because of this I would hardly call Mac's limited.

  • Someone apparently needs to get an update! Believe me, Mac's are today even more efficient and unlimited than the PC due to efficient programs like Paralells and VMWare! Of course, you can build yourself whatever you desire with a PC, but Apple still delivers powerful hardware!

  • powerful and trustworthy. PCs are full of such conflicting quality hardware that its hard for them to evolve. having to write a million drivers mustnt help either. apple computers can evolve as they please :)

  • If u wanna buy a pc for gaming, ur going to spend at least 2k $ if u buy a mac for gaming, u need to buy a mac pro or the last imac that cost like 2.5$ and u still need a better video card... cuz the one they offer ... well they arent the best in the market.... u cant put a 9800 GX2 inside a imac, there is no room, and with a mac pro... well u can but... the price for one mac pro is just insane...

  • yea i know, but macs aren't really aimed at gamers so moot point. they're aimed at professional creative developers and artists.

  • They can be efficient with Boot Camp since virtualization demands very much RAM and CPU.

I've gamed in this way a long time. Works very smooth!

  • yeah it is. im getting a mac mini this week. not exactly huge specs, but yet it still works nicely (altho i need to disable a bunch of windows services lol)

  • holy crud, 2.5$ for an imac? im sure to buy that!

  • u can play great games for windows on a mac (aka bootcamp)

and the GPU's in the macs are pretty goodby them selves (common so what if it is 1 frame per second less>>> doesnt makea difference)

  • vmware is not soo bad....

i'm trying to do that on linux with vmware-player: youtube [dot] com [/] watch [?] v [=] xF [_] CoXsXtk4

but i only get blank screen when the game starts (but i can hear and "control", just cant see ¬¬)

  • wow vmware handle xp pretty badly

  • thats what i wanna know, it looks a bit laggy, and i envy your gigabit nic lol

  • Haha looks like his virtual machine is infected :P

  • LOL YEA

  • does xp run good with vmware for mac
