You can TRY to press the windows key to close the game window and then open it back up. It worked for me on one of the computers I've used but I don't know if that will work for you and I don't know how consistent that is.

I had this game. It was so much fun for it's time. The dinosaurs were so scary in a way. The way they'd come chargin at you, i mean come on, how many pc games from back then, or even nowadays, can truly make you be like "OH SHIT" and attempt to run away only to piss your pants when he comes up behind you and eat you. Truly an adrenaline rush.

I can enjoy this because I don't have to walk halfway across the map to kill a T-Rex and start over when I miss a shot. Besides it gives it more a an action feeling.

Well if you stay under water for too long you'll drown without cheats. As for defense against T-Rex's, just float on the water by holding down spacebar and the T-rex can't eat you.

I can't really help you on this...and no, it's not just your computer. Lots of people have that problem, including me.

That is easy to fix! just right click on the carnivores icon goto properties. and click the compatibility tab at the top of the window. Then check the run this program in compatibilty mode for: and choose Windows 98/ME. next check run in 256 colors and then check run in 640x480 screen resolution and things should work normally. Although the colors may be a tiny bit off Great lakes will work now.

what i do is i put it on slow mo and when the are close enough without killin you you turn to the side. the take a while to turn in your direction so thats the advantage point the tecnique is in my video, i used it for the second one i killed

Here`s a challenge for you: Kill T-rex-in the Great Lake area-With no radar,campflage, or cover scent, with a shotgun. Whoever can do that is the true king of Carnivores.

I would probably do it, but my game can't access the Great Lake. Everytime I try to, a popup comes up and reads "Heap allocation error!" and the game shuts down..

The same exact problem with me. Besides, The Great Lake isn`t all that hard, Exept that there is no Hills, opsticles, or water in the entire area. Exept for one Meteor crator.
