Why is everyone exploiting the orisha traditions of the afrocubans for their own benefit. Stop playing with my religion it is not a tool for you to make money of of.What do you know about Obatala. orisha music is not played with pianos.
We are not exploiting the orisha tradition. We are NOT making money from this, the show you see here is collecting money for a school in Cuba. We are genuinly interested in Afrocuban music, dance and culture, and the musicians playing this song are free to interpret it as they like. It's called artistic freedom!
@LadyWilhelmina Would you do this with Christianity? Would you stand on a stage in front of a myriad of people and bellow out Gospel and you're not a Christian?I doubt you would.
Say I am a Christian, and a non-Christian choir performed with Christian psalms. I would not have a problem with that, no! As long as it is done with respect.
Well. Maybe not in traditional Afro-Cuban style, but to draw one connection. In Africa, they have the Balafon, and Kora, and these are the traditional instruments of the Griot, the keepers of the folkore.
This video is truly beautiful, it sends good vibrations when I listen to it. Blessings
The Balafon and the Kora are not YORUBA instruments.if random people are going to be showing my religious tradition to the world.let them represent it well.
Hi! Glad u liked it, hope u've cheked the rest of the show out, since this is just a part of a 10 part show. Anyway the person playing is Roger Burstrom situated in sweden.
